another death on that dangerous part of the 10!!! CalTrans needs to put up a divider between the trees and the freeway along that stretch!!! Also too many big riggers along there that escalate those dangers of hitting a tree!!!

The big rigs only run in the two slow lanes so I doubt they were the cause.Probably speed or maybe a blow-out.Anyway,it is sad.

Yesterday I was there. I was on my way to colton then I saw all kind's of dust and everyone slaming on there brakes. Then a young man came running to my truck and said he needed help that he just had crashed his car and his mom is trapped inside. So I pull over and look at the car and the front of it is on fire. I go running over there as fast as I could and start pulling on the door to try to get her out but the door would not open. Then another person helps me pull on the door and it still would not open. And the fire just keeped get big and big. Then some truck drivers pulled over and they had fire extungushires it took about 6 of them to get it out. It was the worst Crash I have seen in a long time.

So many accidents of this type on this stretch of freeway are caused by drivers following too close and going too fast. Because of this they are unable to stop in time when the traffic ahead of them suddenly brakes or slows. To avoid hitting the cars ahead they try to swerve off the road to the right. If they're lucky, theres nothing there to hit. But too often there is a tree or concret overpass or etc.

In any case, it's truly a sad thing and our hearts go out to the family.

To Vicky's two sons and rest of her family,

I was formerly Vicky's Mgr. for approximately 7 years. I hired her because she impressed me with her desire to work. I never regretted that decision. Vicky was more than someone I managed, she was my friend. One of the nicest, thoughtful, caring, and hard working people I have known. My heart aches because the void she leaves behind will never be filled. To her sons, I never met you, but your Mom talked about her love for you daily. She lived and worked for her sons. May God give her entire family and friends strength to deal with this tragedy. Gone too soon...R.I.P.

Much love.

Vicky was a dear friend of mine with a beautiful soul whom I loved and cared for dearly. I had the honor of working with her at Circuit City, one way or another she always seemed to make my cloudy days into sunny ones she always made me smile with her silliness. Gone to soon, I will miss our heartfelt conversations. My thoughts and prayers to the Ruano/Rimolo family.

Someone cut off the driver... it was not a big rig. And its really rich to say that only big rigs drive in that lane. So you never drove in the slow lane?

I said big rigs can only drive in those lanes ( Calif.Law)not that they are the only vehicles permitted to drive there.

I was driving down the freeway and i saw a bunch of somke and dust in the air. I was in the slow lane and as i got closer her son ran up to my truck asking for help. he said he had just crashed his car and his mom was traped in side I pulled over and ran to the car and the hole front of the car was on fire. I tried to rip open the door but i couldnt. so i ran around to the driver side and jumped through the window to see if there was anyway that i could get her out but there wasn't. Luckly people came runing with fire extungushires and put the fire out. She was unconscious and not responding when i was try to talk to her. I didn't check to see if she had a pules but she didnt look good I just want'd to get her out of there besause i didnt want to she burn to death. I hope your nephew is ok. He just keeped begging me to save his mom. He said she is all I left. I feel soo bad for him. If you have anyother questions fell free to email me at [email protected]
