'68 beef scandal a downer

READING NEWSPAPERS from May 1968 on microfilm Monday, I was startled to see a string of stories about a beef probe in Chino.

I am fascinated and appalled by the fact that Chino has been serving us ( or should I say our school aged children) scary scary meat for so many years. It really makes me wonder who else is serving what else.

Liver is no big deal. Chicken liver with onions and mushrooms is a nice dish, at least once in a while. Kidneys, on the other hand, you have to boil the p*** out of. Steak and kidney pie is an English pub staple.
