[Worst Eperience Ever]

First: Zia is my real name so I am the kind who owes to her word. I will keep it simple and true. About a week of my sister's wedding, Charles a.k.a Damian did a relaxer for her hair, which really cooked it. Her hair was all burnt. Damian told her that she "lied to him about what she had in her hair" and got all defensive. Did couple conditioners and then told her to do it herself. She gave her a hair cut for $45, which Jo Ann refunded $40 from, I should give her credit for, Jo Ann showed sympathy at the beginning. And promised that she and "her girls" as she refers to them, will do my sister's hair for free for her wedding day since 5 hairdressers refused to even blow dry it. All the other hair dressers said go back to the person who ruined it. Jo Ann and her staff asked us to go buy hair extensions for $79. Which we did. The day before the wedding, Jo Ann canceled the appointment.
She accused us of writing bad reviews. Something I didn't really think of until she mentioned it.
Imagine having your appointment for your wedding canceled before the day of the wedding on top of burning it!
One thing I recommend. If you are going to deal with this salon, make sure you get a receipt. I know the sign says cash or check, but be ware. That would be the only way you prove they provided a "Service" so to speak.
I wouldn't go out of my way and write any reviews if she didn't really mention it and if I were not so sad for my sister on her great night.

Oh besides they review you see from Superfly, barb, and all the other reviews which give 5 stars are reviews from the staff of that store!
Will never go there even if it was the last salon on earth and you take the gist. Oh and I bet my money, I will have attacking comments from the staff (barb, Kate, superfly as they call themselves here). A customer really wouldn't get out of their way to attack other reviewers, right?

Hi my name is Tianna and my hair dresser has been Damien from Salon Chic in folsom. Damien has been doing my hair for over 10 years dying it, cutting it, relaxing it, and styling it. He is the best hair dresser that I have ever been to. Before he does your hair he always asked if u have done anything to it before starting to prevent anything from going wrong unless u don’t tell him. He always suggest what u should do to keep your hair looking great after u leave the salon. Since he has been doing my hair he has moved to three salons and I have fallowed because he is great at what he does and for me if u do bad I would never come back no matter what the person says. I have sent dozens of friends and family members to him and everyone of them have loved there hair and have gone back to damien again and again without Q sending there friends and family.

As For Salon Chic it is a great salon. The owner and people that work in there make u feel so welcome and at home that u really feel welcome. The owner Joann is the sweetest women I have ever met in my life. When I first went into her salon she offered to go buy me coffee or a muffin while I waited. She make you feel comfortable when in the salon. This salon I would recommend to everyone.

I would also like to comment on how great a stylist Damian is. He has been doing my hair for 6 years now hair cut color highlights everything and he is wonderful. I'm black and white so i have very thick course hair and he has never made a mistake or damaged my hair. Im sorry for your sister and i hope her hair turned out nice for her wedding but it must of been a freak accident because Damian doesnt make mistakes.
