Check the internet and you will find that the amount of ammo is greater than ever before and that agencies that have never purchased before are stockpiling. It is a good question that has not been answered.

One of my instructors is an attorney and instructor at FLETC. Would you believe there are over 80 federal agencies with enforcement and security officers who train at FLETC and several more large agencies that do their own training? That's a helluva lot of non-military armed Feds.

It's basically gone Jay. Panic buying just like when Obama first took office. Some high dollar stuff still around, but most of the bulk deals etc are out of stock.

You should check your facts before you start insulting folks. A good portion of the bullets they bought were hollow point. Do you target shoot or qualify with hollow point bullets?

I think they did this for two reasons. 1, they are getting ready for some major civil unrest. 2, they want to deplete the market and strain the demand so the common man can't afford/find ammo

The Government knowing it would never get public support uses it's power of taxation to purchase thus removing this commodity from the open market.

It worked with the Glilman Boat House why not bullets?

I'm not worried. Should the government try a move, such as disarming the citizenry, utilizing a force comprised of FBI, ATF, DEA, etc, they would be heavily out numbered and armed. The link I am providing is from 2007 but it is current enough to show that the armed citizenry for outnumber any force the government could muster.

The Re-elected Obama administration has total control over every elected democrat.

The Obama administration has total control over the "Mass Media".

The Obama administration is currently working to gain control over the House of Representatives.

Once achieved Obama will fulfill all hopes and dreams of his socialist mother.

Two years away.

There is a shortage of ammunition. Seize the moment to disarm the people. Create legislation banning guns.

Let me get this straight.

The government wants to ban US citizens from AR's and AK's. The government is giving AR's and AK's to Mexican drug cartels. The government is giving F-16's to the Muslim brotherhood (alqeada) in Egypt.

WAKE UP!!!

Need control of the government and not the guns. With the foolish economic problems created by the government there well could be an increased need to have personal protection. I am still looking for an answer as to what and why the government is buying so much ammo. Several good reasons have been given on this thread.
