Yes, that would be Commissioner Gary Blount, but only one has been discovered so far.

Apparently, we don't actually prosecute marijuana growers in Camden until they are ready for a nusing home, if ever.

How fast Gary Blunt was found to have no involvement in his marijuana factory house. Nothing in Camden County has ever moved that fast.

Absolutely clueless, even after he gave the renter permission to build an unusually high fence that you could not see through or over on his rental property out of the renter's own pocket.

How many public officials are involved? Are you saying there's been a cover up? Marijuana growing operations are illegal under both federal and state law. Have there been any sucessful prosecutions?

No rush to judgment here. As the years tick by my question is who's taking care of the evidence (several hundred plants).

Moreno. If you had a business that provided a service such as CPA ... And one of your customers did something illegal, how exactly would that be your fault? Is it really fair to talk crap about people just because there is an association? I don't think it is and this is exactly how a person's reputation gets tarnished. Stan Smith was apparently in the weed business. Gary Blount is a CPA that does work for many of us as well as Smith. Seems very unfair.

Obviosly, you are unaware (or pretending to be) of the nature of the relationship between Gary Blount and Stan Smith.

They were damned nearly Siamese twins.Undoubtedly still are.

They always had lunch in Aunt B's on Tuesdays. The generator caught fire on Wednesday. The day before, I saw then in Aunt B's. I spoke to Stan.
Just after they wallked into the restaurant, Stan spotted a woman he was apparently looking for. He ent straight to her table while Blount went to the serving line.

The woman handed Stan a long, heavy manilla envelope. Stan reached into the envelope and partially pulled out a thick sheaf of crisp cash of some denomination. I could not tell at that distance. He then fanned the bills as if checking to see if they were all the same denomination.

After a few words with the woman he turned and saw me. When he turned he had a big, silly, wide grin on his face. He was glassy eyed. In retrospect, he was clearly stoned to the gills.

Blount was watching all this.

Trust me, the chances of Blount being totally in the dark are somewhere between slim and none.

You really should subscribe to the T&G.

The pot plants were stored in a room at the St. Marys P.D. on Pt.Peter Rd. The plants were virtually devoured by mold. The decison was made, apparently by the chief, to take all the plants out of the room and burn them. That was at least a year ago.

Are you saying the major evidence in a major illegal drug bust was deliberately distroyed!!!??? To Date has anyone stood trial?
If there has been no trial, that would raise a serious question; just how many public officials were involved in this large illegal drug operation.

It would be easy to assume that where defendants in a criminal case have knowlege of wrongdoing by public officials, public officials would try to sweep the criminal case under the rug.

I hesitate to commit to an area where such illegal activity may be condoned. You would think any honest local official and the real estate industry would by screaming for this activity to be brought to an end.

I do subscribe to the T&G. I also travel extensively. Following the T&G web page on vacation is not one of my priorities. But thank you for your helpful recommendation.

Jay, I have a question. Why have you not mentioned this case the entire time YOUR SHERIFF has been in office? Now all of a sudden when YOUR SHERIFF has been defeated you bring this case to light. I have a great idea. Why dont you mosey on over to your best friends house with your u-haul truck and haul both your lard asses right on back to pooler.
