ha....if you only KNEW the rest of the story as I do! I hope and PRAY that his whole situation is brought to light by our legal system. If they do not fail us, then all will see the true face of betrayal - his betrayal by one he loved and trusted.

great job reporting an incident. wonder which journalist of integrity will look deeper, or perhaps it is just the headline splash that motivates the rags that reported on this. hmmmm....let's see - headlines = money; the whole story = actually making a difference and bringing the whole truth to light. what brings a person like Timothy to this point of breaking??

So what would be the rest of the story??? Yes, there are always two sides to every story but, I can't imagine anything that would make what was done by him "okay". Better to walk away when go this far.

What's the beef with Bodley and this story? This was a fairly run-of-the-mill news report that basically relied entirely on the facts straight from the police report. It would be very irresponsible of the newspaper to speculate at this time as to why Mickle did this. In fact if they started to print hearsay, they could be expose themselves to a whole host of things. That will come out in the court hearings when he will have his chance to explain himself. To somehow twist this and hold ABC and Bodley up as the bad guys in this story doesn't elicit any sympathy from me. The story was also carried on most, if not all TV news stations. Are you going to call them out too?

If this happened as reported, Mickle's reasoning and justifications for his actions will be hard to swallow. It doesn't really matter if his spouse was unfaithful, a meth-head, gambling addict or any number of undesirable things... it doesn't give him a free pass to endanger other people's safety. I want to be very clear here and emphatically state that I'm not saying that this describes his wife or this is what I've heard about her. I am merely raising hypotheticals as a point of discussion. I don't know anything about the people's situation other than the news reports.

I would be interested in knowing the WHOLE story. I knew Tim pretty good and I could NEVER imagine this happening. It certainly is too bad...especially when there are kids involved. What makes a man go this crazy when he has always had his head on straight!?!?!?

I thought the report was clear and nothing to warrant an attack on the reporter. My beef is that no matter what happened before all this started, nothing justifies pulling a gun on any other person unless you are afraid for your own life, and they have(the other person) the means to do you great bodily harm. Which I doubt was the case here. I do think that reports tend to highlight the bad and then forget the story after the "big" headline story is over.

I'm curious as to how one would justify these events:

"About 6 p.m., Mickle arrived at the Cottonwood Street address in a van driven by the resident of that home, then allegedly took off alone in the van when police attempted to apprehend him.

The complaint alleges that Mickle pointed a gun at himself and waved it in the direction of the officers during a brief standoff before fleeing in the van.

Police pursued the van south on Foley and when it turned on to the east Highway 10 entrance ramp, the van allegedly accelerated and struck a passenger car in the intersection, causing damage, but did not stop.

On the entrance ramp, a Coon Rapids Police officer did what Snell described as a “pursuit intervention,” causing the suspect’s vehicle to spin out.

According to the complaint, as the van was turned around so that it faced pursuing squads, Mickle accelerated toward the squads and police fired at the van before it struck two police vehicles."

I'm upset with Mickle for another reason: he had a carry permit and failed to hold himself to a higher standard. The anti-gun lobby has a field day anytime a person with a permit acts irresponsibly with their firearms. As a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment, this really ticks me off.

Hey Crazy Guy....There is no questioning that he is messed up, but no need to attack people that are friends with him or buddies with him. Something happened to make him go off (not saying it is right!!) but friends stand by people they care about and look at things differently. He needs help and a good friend doesn't turn their back...especially if they know what happened. Don't get me wrong....he should have walked away. There are always 2 sides to every story, so "Buddy" you are not messed up.

If this guy is such a loose cannon, why is he out walking the street? Does he actually need to kill someone before they will keep him in jail? He could have just as easily killed the three people that he t-boned in the intersection. They are lucky to be alive!

If this guy is such a loose cannon, why in the world did they let him out on bail? He could have just as easily killed the three people in the car that he t-boned in the intersection. They are lucky to be alive! It seems he is way too dangerous to be walking the streets.

He t-boned a car with a middle aged woman driving and a elderly man and woman as passengers. There were no severe injurys, but there sure could have been. He hit dead center between the drivers door and back door. The van hit low enough that the car frame and the post took most of the impact. If the van would have hit 2 feet forward or beind the center post, it would have been very serious. The police said that he accellerated as he hit them.

Good thing he didn't hurt them, more charges. I agree he is a loose cannon who should be at least watched like under supervised release and lock down at night.

Criminals-

Ham Lake couple facing felony tax charges

St. Paul, Minn.– A Ham Lake couple faces felony tax charges in Anoka County, the Minnesota Department of Revenue announced today. William Peter McCann, 65, and Patricia Mary McCann, 63, both of 14101 Coral Sea St. N.E., allegedly filed false individual income tax returns from 2003 through 2005.

During a department investigation, it was discovered that from 2003 through 2005 the defendants allegedly received over $140,000 of taxable income that was not reported to the State of Minnesota.

According to the complaint, the McCanns owe the state at least $9,750 in income tax for those years. A full formal audit has not been completed.

William McCann allegedly admitted that he had been doing remodeling jobs since 2002 and had received $25 an hour, even though he is not a licensed contractor in Minnesota. He admitted to running a lawn sprinkler service for the past four years as well. The income he received from both of these jobs was not reported on the couple’s tax returns.

Patricia McCann allegedly acknowledged that she knew her husband was involved in remodeling and construction projects, and that the money was put into their checking accounts, but was not reported on their individual income tax returns. She also admitted to failing to report that she had received $225 per week for house cleaning services since April 2003.

Each felony count is punishable by a maximum sentence of five years in prison, a fine of up to $10,000, or both.

The Minnesota Department of Revenue is dedicated to enforcing tax laws, collecting no more and no less than taxpayers owe. The department takes progressively stricter measures against taxpayers who demonstrate that they will not voluntarily meet their obligations.
