My family and I have known this young man and his mother and father for nearly thirty years, my parents are neighbors of Ryan's mom. A nicer family you could not find any where.
The neighborhood is reeling from this tragedy, as Ryan was their only child.
Our condolences go out to Michelle, Terry, their family as well as the family of Ryan's girlfriend. All of you who are this forum to cast blame and poke fun of this tragic accident, ask yourselves one question: How would YOU feel losing a child, your only child, be it to an accident, illness, or something else...two young lives were lost today, many people are greiving and all of you who are gaining amusement from this situation should be ashamed of yourselves.
Michelle and Terry our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Anyway, thanks for the names of the unlucky kids, also remember, good people make mistakes.

I believe in our Constitution and Freedon of Speech. However, I do not suppport the mean and vicious comments posted on these boards. People are so cruel and evil. Cowards are the people that hide behind these boards making such hurtful comments. It is pathetic and pitiful that you people are so insecure and have to feel powerful by writing mean, hateful thoughts about people you do not even know. This should be viewed as harrassment to the victims and families involved here and I cannot believe this cruel behavior is supported by these message boards.

I'm so sorry. My sincere condolences to their family and friends. They were both wonderful friendly people and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know them. Remember - there's a song - only the good die young - I believe there is some truth to that.
Do you know their names and where they were from?

You ask "how I would feel?" The answer is terrible. I would be angry at myself for not being proactive in teaching my child how dangerous an auto can be.
Yes, the may be a plethora of factors that contributed to this tragedy, but the root cause is driver error. People need to be accountable for their actions and excuses should not be acceptable.

Sorry I have to disagree..can't see how.. "what if's"...and "might have's" w/ no basis in facts is logical?? only facts we know accoring to the arcticle is the time and that it was a one car accident..and of the scenarios i posted would make just as much sense.
negative people look for negative reasons
no.. negativity is positively how we live.. Look at business. Negativity sells. Anyway, scenarios are made by statistic releveance created by the known facts of the case.. which are time, age, and area.. My suggestion is that the Drunk scenario is statistically the most likely reason.. However, I dont see how that is negative. The death or result of the accident is the negative part. being drunk is merely the reason.. It could have been a blown tire, but still the sad negative fact is that someone died..

also IF ansd i mean IF alcohol had been involved i don't think the "they got what they deserved" attitude that tends to prevail here at times is appropriate
I have not read one comment stating they got what they deserve.. No on deserves death, however life is a terminal illness and death is a mere certainty to all of us.

I agree that what's said on here is sometimes cruel and way out of line. HOWEVER...this is a COMMENT board. It's not a place for family and friends, truthfully. How can it be considered harassment when no one forces them to come on here?
That said, this is a tragedy. I hope drinking wasn't involved, but I can't help thinking it may have been. Either way, my condolences. But you can't stop people from saying what they think.

At this point, it really doesn't matter how they died! It's just very sad that they did. To those people who always judge and cast blame, shame on you. How would you feel if it were a member of your family? Think of that before you write such stupid things. My sympathy to the families.

what data do you have to support your "drunk driving sceanrio" is more likey the cause than say mechanical failure? any statistics that show a higher % of single car accidents are caused by drunk driving versus mechanical failure? otherwise it is simply conjecture
well.. i guess common sense is not something you care to use..

So, factually, 44% of all fatal accidents in the US are alcohol related.. this was easy..

I have been on the road many times when I'm going on a trip or coming home from a friends house after watchin a movie or just hanging out and havent been drinking at 2:30am or later. So I'm not sure how you think drinking most likely was the case in this situation. My thoughts and prayers are with the Family and friends at a time like this I know how it feels to lose someone close because of an accident.

Thanks for just proving my point. Yep, I do not mind reading the comments that are intelligent and truthful. But the cruel, nasty comments that are not based on any evidence or truth are what I am referring to. I only come on these boards to promote my cause which is standing up for those who cannot speak for themselves right now.

Your cause is curbing people's freedom of speech?

yes, as do I. Thing is we are both here and not in an accident. Plus if you were, then you would be of the other 50% that didnt drink.. statistics are on my side..

Umm...that means that there is a 56% chance that it wasn't alcohol related...can someone tell me when 44% became statistically higher than 56%?
