Sounds to me the COPS are a little quick to shot and less likely to talk. This should be investigated by a independent firm. OOPs but wait there is only going to be one side of the story given, Probably not the truthful side either.

Yeah, okay, they should wait to see if the guy pulls the trigger of the gun he is pointing at them. Give me a freaking break!!! Liberals, yikes!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Berks Lehigh Regional Police Department and it's Officers. I have had plenty of times that I have worked closely with the various Officers from the Police Department on various levels. The Officers are nothing but Professional in the job they do.

Lets thank god that the Coroner's Office is not investigating a double Police Officer Homicide at the hands of this deranged individual.

Hopefully this mans family will not pass judgement on the Police Officers who had no choice but to protect themselves. And know that they were only doing their jobs by protecting themselves and the public they serve.

Officers of the Police Department Keep up the great job you do everyday, and lets this incident serve as a reminder of the danger you face on a daily basis.

Tough times. Too bad the guy didn't get the help he needed before this.

If you feel you need to kill yourself try to do it so you don't endanger anyone else or require assistance from the police......but then again if you're rational enough to reason through that then you're better off getting some therapy.

Its a shame this male got to the point where he wanted to take his own life. I do not know what his issues were, but its always sad when it gets to that point. The two police officers are victims in this case. The male with the problems cowardly drug two innocent people into this mess. Anyone who blames the police are ignorant a-holes. Being that this male had a rifle, pretty much nothing less than an armored vehicle would of been able to provide cover and safety from the threat of death or bodily injury. Bullet proof vests are no match for any rifle and the officers #1 priority is to protect their own lives first, others second. I am sure that Lehigh Valley Resident would be grateful ahd he or she been the one in the crosshairs of this mentally homicidal man's loaded rifle. Its a sad situation and my thoughts go out to the officers and the males family.

Thanks for validating my decision to leave Law Enforcement after 25 years, and more specifically, to leave the LV.

Make that two votes of confidence for the entire Berks Lehigh Regional Police Department and its officers. Well-run department with a fine group of dedicated professionals. Right now, they need our support and no second guessing.

What we’ve got here is "failure to communicate". Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week. Which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. And I don't like it any more than you men.

the police did the right thing, if he would have survived this he would be costing the taxpayers money to take care of him. Sorry for the family but this is life.

This was a tragic situation but what if this man had shot an innocent person when he pulled his gun? Then everybody and their brother would be yelling, "Why didn't the police DO something?"

Wow..I just moved to a home on Adams Rd and witnessed the aftermath this morning from my kitchen window. Glad i finally know what was going on, but its a shame people had to get hurt out of all of this. The police did their jobs, glad that no one else was injured.

Daily Horoscope for May 20

Taurus

If a friend has been bugging you recently, you are likely to have a few sharp words with them today. However, least said soonest mended, so don't labour the point or turn them against you. Besides, you have better things to do with your time now, such as taking part in a big gathering of likeminded people or having a long chat with one special person.
