If Ed Adamczak had his way, Lower Macungie would have created a police department years ago. Full Story

Go back to NJ. The state is not responsible for police protection, the local governement is. The state police are for the Interstates and state roads, not answering local calls. Ever wonder why sometimes PSP response times are slow. While they are doing the best they can with given resources it is because they have to run all over the state answering local issue calls.

I resent your ignorance. I am a typical LMT resident, and I pay more than $70k in taxes each year. Nothing free about that.

Rather than inviting in another union to rip off the taxpayers (teachers do a fine job of that), why don't we establish a militia?

I'll say it again,,, Join Berks/Lehigh Regional. They have been running a regional police department since the early 90's. So they have experience. They have investigators,K-9,a very involved community officer, a dive team, a traffic unit and probaly additional benefits that I am forgetting. If this were to happen there is no doubt in my mind we would have the best most professional well equipped police department in the Lehigh Valley. Best part,,,at a discounted price. I have been saying for years,,it is no brainer. I own businesses in both Upper Mac and Lower Mac and the response time alone and personal attention you get from a local police department is worth it alone. BLRPD hold monthly crime watch meetings I would invite Lower Mac residents to come see how they conduct themselves. OR if you want to be really informed why not arrange a meeting between township officials and the police department. Simply getting facts from them I'm sure would be a huge help in itself.

Time for the Township to get their own Police Department. Yes it is long over due.

The State Police are for rural communities not the urbanized area this has become. The Troopers need to be on the Interstates & in the rural areas, let them fight the influx of drugs that are flowing through the State. Get the Troopers out of the Townships and Boroughs unless it is a rural area.

You can complain all you want, makes no difference.
You'd make better use of your time if you'd just shlt in your hand.
