Warning to all!!! Do not use Bill Neafus for your excavating or pool! After 3 years and thousands of dollars lost our project still has multiple problems. Not to mention it was never properly inspected and our children were in danger of being electrocuted by wiring that was not grounded!!!! This has been an absolute disaster!

I can certainly echo the sentiments expressed here on this forum regarding Bill Neafus Pools. Like others, we too entered into a contract with Bill Neafus to install an in-ground pool with all the trimmings. It was a family dream turned into a complete nightmare. He takes his two big draws, gets the pool on the ground, and then he becomes a ghost. He left the project incomplete, destroyed property, and took money for many things we never got or were never completed. And as we found out the hard way, everything he did do was poor workmanship to say the least.
The most severe and the reason I respond here, is the electrical issues with Mr. Neafus. He is not a licensed electrician and no one in his outfit is a licensed electrician. We had to pay to replace his entire electrical work. The company that replaced it all said there was no way a certified electrician had installed it. They also indicated that no final inspection had ever been done. They said everything that could have been done wrong, was done wrong. I am not an electrician, but they mentioned wiring and breakers that were not compatible and it was just a matter of time before it would have started a fire. The man is going to kill someone eventually.
There's not enough room here to list all the deficiencies in Bill Neafus. You just can even imagine what a horror it was dealing with him. We had endless issues that were more expensive for us to repair and replace, but the electrical issues was the most disturbing. We had to start from scratch with a general contractor, plumber, electrician, excavation, everything, to try and get out pool to at least a usable state. They were all well aware of Mr. Neafus, and indicated they had been following behind cleaning up his messes for some time.
The public should check out the Better Business Bureau report on Bill Neafus. He's had an F rating for some time now. They have a full report on him with more reviews and other people expressing the eerily same scenario. The guy does not know what he's doing at all.
One thing the public needs to be aware of, is that he is a chameleon and he changes his name every year. He was in excavating, then switched over to Neafus Pools, Bill Neafus Custom Pools. After word got out about him in southern Indiana, he changed his name to Superior Pools of Indiana, and apparently started working on the other side of the river in Kentucky, 2011-2012, where people were not familiar with him yet, and he treated people over there the same way. He operates on both sides of the river under multiple names. The Better Business Bureau keeps track of all of his aliases they can confirm and list them in their report. We've heard from several different sources in the past six months, that he has filed for bankruptcy. Expect though, that he will change his name again this year. He always does, and that's how he gets away with it.
Stay away from this guy. He is a con artist without a conscience, and a very smooth talker. He has no website and he has no business office. He's just a slick talking, freelance con man with a van.

Yes.... do not use this guy. He destroyed our entire back yard, dropped off a fiberglass pool, took payment .. and disappeared. If someone knows how to track down this worthless SOB please post. We've been cleaning up his mess for over a year and still don't have a functional pool. I don't know how this guy is allowed to operate.

The dude has operated under Neafus Excavating, Bill Neafus Pools, and last year it was Superior Pools of Indiana - to hide his name. Spouses maiden name is Prestigiacomo. Watch for that name too. He's a grade A con man.

I have had a horrible experience just like the others. We are in our third season with lots of problems!!! We were trying to move on but now we have 2 cracks in our fiberglass due to install incorrectly. Is anyone getting a lawsuit against this
crook??? If we all went together we could have a case!

I will need to contact a pool builder pretty soon to get things rolling for my swimming pool. I need a little help trying to figure out who to contact because I have never needed to call a pool builder before. I am currently looking around town, but if there are any referrals, I would love to take a look at them.

Summer is just around the corner. Many families love to be outside cooling down in the pool. My husband and I just moved into a new home and would love to have an underground pool. We would love to invite the neighbors around us to come and visit us. My husband and I love to have parties. It would be a great investment.
