I share your well wishes for the sick kids.

E-coli is a bacteria which is spread via fecal-oral contamination. In should be easily identified and cross-contamination from one person to another can be virtually eliminated with proper hand washing in the rest rooms and sanitation of surfaces.

The most likely origin of this, assuming it is E-coli, is the cafeteria food served at lunch, commonly undercooked meats or improperly washed raw vegetables or fruits.

and that's pretty scary, really. when was the last time any of you parents went to their lunch room at lunch time? every time I've gone the food seems to be so undercooked. the grilled cheese is literally slightly buttered bread, not toasted at all, and a slice of cheese in the middle that is unmelted. Ive not been there when they serve hamburgers or tacos. these cafeteria people would surely not serve this crap to their own children. what's up with that?!!

I am an outraged uncle of 2 of the children that are sick because of this outbreak. My adorable nieces are really suffering right now, with one on dialysis. Something more needs to be done here. I have never seen my family in such shock over this. I guess just like anyone you never think it will happen to you. We are a strong praying family and know that Jesus Christ of Nazareth will heal my precious nieces and set them free of this sickness. Please email me if you have any questions. [email protected]
