I actually heard about that spongebob deal, that's typical for Coppell Police. However, Officer Gelsthorpe did pull me over for going 52 down Macarthur and as he walked up he saw who I was and let me go because of politics surrounding me. My truck was loaded down with all kinds of guns and explosives since we were on our way to a friends ranch. He could have easily ticketed me but had the common decency to let it slide. He holds my respect, none of the other do, but he's good in my book.

Shame on him for not writing you a ticket and letting you continue thinking its OK to speed and put our lives in danger. I'm sure your parents would hate for you to mess up the car they are paying for. They should take it away from you and make you walk to school. Screw your politics.

What number do you call when someone is breaking into you house? Oh. That's right. 911. Well some of you ass tards call it to ask directions or for a phone number. But I digress. You all hate your police that keep your quiet little town safe enough to have time to write tickets until you need them. Then they are your favorite person. Typical uppity, self centered, egotistical, dipshits. By the way, who is the person who choose to commit whatever violation you were cited for? YOU DID!

About When The Coppell Police Where Getting People For Cutting Theough Parking Lots and Side Streets when there was construction in the intersections. I have News. I Have Friends In The Coppell Police and I'm going to show them this hate website and have my fun like I did when people where violating state traffic codes and city codes by cutting through parking lots. I was the one that called them out to enforce and I was the one that mentioned the idea to the city manager to step up enforcement on that law.

So what if you have coppell police friends, or you think they are your friends. I'm sure they can't stand you because you think you have the right to tell them what to do, probably because you pay taxes and own them right? Well I'm going to call my buddies in code enforcement and have them ticket you for your grass being to high!! Ha, how about that. Cool right? I dont think so. Screw coppellian kids politics and screw ke5wjb and him not letting his police friends do their job without trying to tell them what to do.

I was distressed to see some of the absolutely nasty comments about the Police Department. I would suggest that since the new chief (Mac Tristan) was appointed, the people of Coppell should be a lot more pleased with the police activities. We've all heard the donut jokes and the standard "why are you giving me a ticker when you should be out catching crooks" routine when people get stopped. Look at it this way: 1) did you break the law?....this is a yes or no answer, 2) did you have an attitude with the officer?, 3) if you were the cop and had stopped would you feel about your reception??
Support your police...whether you are at home or away. I do not live in Texas, but did a great deal of business...and I found the police to be helpful.

Stop paying the tickets, go to court, clog up the system. If everyone would do this, it would cause them so much problems they would have to stop going after their quota. Doc

Cops here are cool, as long as you're a resident. They have let me go every time I've been stopped, all for minor infractions. I commend them for being willing to protect us and keeps the idiots in line in our town.

^To the defensive prick above, "we voted for"? Is that a fucking joke? I can come to terms that majority wins in electing Texas legislature, but by any means should that mean the people who voted other wise should just roll over.
I may carry a bit of negative stigma for Coppell pd as a pot smoking teen, but as a result of them blatantly breaking the law (specifically a site and release policy); well I think I've got a logical rational to feel such things towards them. They not only harass residents (regardless of good or bad, they are usually minding their own busses), but blatantly neglect their jobs as well. It wasn't too long ago that they decided to come to my house on St. Patricks night (one of the few nights where driver watch is a serious issue for area cops due to 0 tolerance laws), arrested me in my bed at 2:00am in front of my family with no warrant, and proceeded to transport me to Dallas county jail only after giving me the initial ticket a day before. Now the judge knew that this was bullshit and cut me a extremely good deal, but I am a Coppell resident, i am a transferring neuroscience student (with a part time job) who knows "hard-work", and I fucking have the deepest sense of loath for the "fine officers of the Coppell police department". Reform of such unorthodox assholes should be eminent, but anyone who lives here's knows the locals like their bubble town. Stay away from Coppell, save yourself the trouble, I know I will soon.

Sorry about the rant, it just felt so god damn good. 1/5 Coppell pd.

I want to file an open records request on an officer and see if he is up on his training records. I was treated very rude and so un -professional. Does anyone have any idea how to do that and the officer signed the ticket as T. Jones. Is there a T. Jones?

They should be able to contest this in court and win. If the intersection was blocked off and there was no other route.
You will NEVER win a ticket in Coppell. I tried it once with a legit reason and the female judge started yelling and screaming at me, very in professional, especially a "Judge". This judge is out right Crazy!!!

I have lived in Coppell since the 80's, the cops live in their own world, A day without police
would be lawlessness, I understand. but.

I look back on all the times I needed them,,, and they are full of themselves, blow me off,
harass me, the list goes on and the stories I could tell. This is what I pay taxes for.

They are just Punk Kids.. with a badge and there you go...maybe their mothers couldn't
control them either...
