DUMP STATIONS in Butts County

Why are we paying tax dollars for these old men to "guard" the dump stations in the county? I can only speak for the one on Colwell Road; and the ones there do virtually NOTHING! They don't help elderly people unload their garbage (although I did see one help a young lady in short shorts with hers). Butts County needs to find better uses for our tax dollars .... or better yet, eliminate these do-nothing jobs and LOWER TAXES. I'm fed up with it.

It would be as simple as sending someone around to unlock the gates in the mornings, lock them in the evenings, and install a switch to automatically compact the garbage at pre-timed intervals. Better yet, forget the gates and leave open 24/7.

I think there needs to be a TAX REVOLT in this county over the high taxes and wasted taxpayer's money.

Dear Heaven, I am living in a county that charges per bag of garbage and the area behind the fence is nowhere as clean as the one I visited with my daughter over the weekend I think it was just off 36 not for sure but it was a nice dump(that sounds funny) Who would have ever thought a waste area would need to be guarded. By the way our guys at the pay here dump here site take our money and sit inside small shed but are friendly. Be thankful for what you have it could be a lot worse

I have an idea!!!!!!!!!! Heaven could go and work at the dump and get paid for doing nothing then use the money to pay his taxes. As for the young girls ........maybe while you are working you might find a bottle of discarded Viagra and renew your intrest in women again.Com e on ...get a job or something and stop being jealous of the dumpster workers,Heck look out your window you live out there next to trash mountain on that edge of the county.

Heaven, considering you live in Spaulding county, I really don't care what you think about how things are run in Butts county. Even though I would like to see the dumps open more often I think its a good idea to have the guys working there. There would be too much liability having the unattended machinery there. People being what they are, someone would get hurt and want to sue the County.

Now that I see my location came up as Griffin and not Jackson, I apologize for my first sentence. I still think its a good idea to have an attendant there.

If those attendants weren't there, people would just dump stuff everywhere, and it would cost the county more to clean it up, than the attendants are costing. That's why.

Back in the days where the county dumping areas were just big dempsey dumpsters with no one around, it was a huge mess.

If you had bothered reading both of my posts before making your useless comment, you would know I don't live near Griffin. Happy?
