When the day comes for same-sex couples to be allowed to marry, we'll finally be able to say we live in a country where everyone has equal rights.

Why do you want to marry multiple females? Do you ONLY want to marry multiple lesbians?

You can always fight for the right to marry more then one person at the same time. You already have the right to marry multiple females just not at the same time.

Why would a guy want to marry a guy, what is he gay? Who would want to stick their thing in another dudes butt hole? That is sick. Why would not want to caress a lady's smooth skin, but rather caress a rough harry man? GROSS! Gay people are so gay and need to stop crying. I will treat them as a normal person but will never agree with what they do. Gays are just people who have a really bad problem with lust. It is all about sex and the only way they can get off is with their own sex. Nasty. Sure, watching two girls make out is hot, but it is still wrong. C'mon guys, gay people complain soooo much about equal rights, when black people did not get them forever. Why should gays be treated so great if we can even treat another race the same. What a bunch of ****. Gay people need to stay in the closet and stop complaining.
Wow...you spend an awful lot of time/thought writing about gay sex...

Loyola is just like any other school. It is a "Catholic School" in affiliation only, it does not impress doctrine on anyone, or really hold any of those values except only when it comes to PR used to differentiate them from other schools. On that basis, your article about it being surprising that a "Catholic school" would allow a gay students group is meritless. What would be surprising is if some of those evangelical colleges in the south allowed gay students groups.

The Roman Catholic church views homosexual behaviour sinful because Jesus Christ did, carrying this truth forward from the Old Testament. The Church didn't make this up within the last few years or decades as your statement in the article suggests. Natural law tells us the same thing.

Of course Christ loves all of us, straight or gay, though we are ALL sinners.

A Catholic institution should not provide platform to espouse views that are not in line with Church teaching. Look at what is happening at ND with Obama's imminent Commencement Address.

As a Catholica and Loyola alum, I have long been ashamed to see what many so-called Catholic institutions allow to occur on campus. The Catholic Church, creator of the modern university, needs to take ours back from the secularists that run them -- Jesuit or not.

I'm a current Loyola law student and I think it's fantastic what OUTlaw has been able to do in so little time!

It shows that equal rights for everyone will get here soon, but definitely not soon enough.

All the Catholics should be proud that a Catholic institution is embracing this group! Far too often the Church is so far behind in acceptance that it is embarrassing and at times deadly.

Hopefully the idea of diversity in thought on campus will also allow gays to accept and understand the opposite view that Catholics and the larger majority do not suppport gay marriage, which should receive the same respect and support as gays expect thier view to receive.

And shame on Barney Frank for his recent intollerance and insults toward Judge Scalia and his viewpoint.

Why should the church accept gays when it is considered sexual imorality in the Bible? What person would be proud of there church accepting that? I would be proud of my church if they offered help to get people to stop being gay, but not just accepting them.

ps - being born gay is BS.

Uh maybe because we have laws against public drunkeness. And although perhaps just as rowdy as drunk men, men in chaps arent fighting on the streets and with cops.

This is why I am a Catholic-in-Absentia. The Pope and the Vatican have failed on their end of the bargain, as the entire Jesuit group needs to be ex-communicated. The Church is allowing this type of 'acceptance' because the Pope refuses to do his job and kick out people who wont abide by the guidelines set forth through history by Christ and the early Church fathers.
There are plenty of Catholic-lite churches (Anglican/Lutheran)...let the Jesuits join them and take their mushy, wishy-washy schools with them.

So, if the majority are opposed to something should that be the law of the land? Like when the majority supported segregation?

Sigh...

First, is everything in the bible that is said to be a sin still considered a sin to this day? or do you pick and choose which ones are sins?(hint - read Leviticus and get back to me)

Second, if you are not gay, how do you know gays are not born gay? When, exactly do you think they "choose" to become gay?

Actually, in a Democratic society...it SHOULD. But American tossed out true democracy long ago.
