You're wrong! Salaried positions are not eligible for comp time. Nice try, the people are watching and listening. My, this time off is really important to you that you must vehemently defend it, city employee.
The Illinois Labor Board needs to be aware of this. Contact them. As employees if certain workers are getting comp time and not others then their is a problem. The Mayor is aware of this going on.

Comp time is for employee's like Moller, like taking paid comp days when your back is out and you cant walk do to previous back pain.Attempting to pick up a downed light pole might be a smart thing to do.

Illinois Is an employee at will state. Rules do not apply equally across the board. We won there is nothing left for you to do but "Get over it." Don't bother complaining about your leaves, bag them up and put them out on garbage day if you want them gone. Happy Holidays!

Typical thug behavior. Threaten people with your power. At will has nothing to do with comp time. Now go back and rethink your position to threaten citizens by not picking up their leaves. Seriously, you just keep implicating yourself.

Maybe a certain writer at "The Forum" would like to rethink what political party that the paper is supporting. Is this above statement the positive image and change that we want? This town is waking up big time. Get involved. Spread the word about Topix!

They campaign for us, get our petitions signed, vote for us, get their friends and family to vote for us, so what is your problem with that?

You see friend, Vargas told some city employees and many citizens that he would build upon the previous administration. He would improve our economic situation, not destroy it. He told us voters lies with never a mention that he was aligned with "mistrust." Meanwhile, The Rita's, Hawley etc. knew what the game plan was. The Rita's would take control while Domingo was just a front to get them in. Talk to most Islanders and they will verbalize how sickened that they are by this Plan. They will never back Vargas or anyone in his party ever again. Now, do the math. Police Chief gone. Public Safety Director in at higher salary. Building Commiss salary slightly lower, but still exists, plus a new Supervisor position added- thus old salary of Building Commiss plus more in salaries. Also, three added part time positions in the dept. Next, Public works. Ken gone, but Rita's buddy in charge of water, pub works etc. Add to that a director of Public works and a Water dept. supervisor and you my friend have just blown the budget. This is just a small example of what goes on up there. Next item of business, layoffs. Full time gone and welcome part timers. This will help to increase patronism jobs and increase their base of support up at City Hall. Slick, but very dumb. You still think you have a chance? If Snow White remains full time a gasket will blow. Part time Mayor doesn't need a secretary. His voice mail is good enough to save us a few dollars. There is so much waste up there that my fingers would fall if I continued to type. This is one small dynamic. New businesses, crime, the list goes on. We want experience not these guys. Funny, I don't work for the City, but man I got their numbers. These dudes will never be re-elected.

Here is another 25 year violation.
Pete Amato and family, 12800 block of Sacramento.
The Amato family has placed construction cones and makeshift items in the street in front of their home to secure private parking on a public street for over 25 years.
I believe that there is not one person in the police dept or the city who could cease such a simple issue. So my advise we should all do the same as Pete that way we have a place in front of our homes as well. Thank you ald stone for being blind to this issue. Didn't Amato and son shoot the high school a few years back? Thousands in damage nojail time.....

Public works needs to remove them each time they are put out in the city street.
