So what do you guys think? ;x

I'm not a fan of fastfood really and I have to drive past Patt and Lindbergh to work everyday and this is gonna cause more traffic for me now.=(

With that being said I stopped by the new store(Which opened today!) and found out for the 1st couple days quarter pounders are only $1! Pretty tastey deal if you ask me! ;)

A McDonald's with all the additional traffic is the last thing that intersection needs....the intersection was recently widened and improved and its still a mess without the restaurant. I will avoid it at all costs, except possibly for a $1 Quater pounder or two.

I grew up with McDonald's. It was one of the earliest burger joints to be built in my hometown. It was cheap and good. At that time it was a walk-up with no dining areas or drive-thru, you bought it and ate it in the car or took it home.
They have never had the "best" burgers but they were definitely good and still are. The fires were always as good or better than the other places.
Now they have a larger menu and I like the fish and the chicken wraps, Their breakfast has always been okay with their pancakes as their best morning offering.
You can find better food at a lot of fast food places but for the convenience and price it is worth the trip.
I doubt I will visit this one much despite the fact it is about a mile away. If I do I will have to figure out the quickest way in and out. That is if there is one. I do not visit much of anything in that area due to the traffic snarl. My trips to that area are usually timed to avoid traffic.
It will add to the traffic problems there but that is like saying a match will add to the bonfire.

I doubt this situation is as bad as you are all making it out to be. People complain about the lack of development in this town, then complain about what we do get. Be thankful for a change.
We have this new mcdonalds, a new bank, a new restraunt going in where Ponderosa is (54th street grill? I think is the name), supposedly Kohls is considering the old Value City building, and there is a lot more little things.
No, I dont like Lowery or his goone council, and I wish they would all just leave. I am just saying that you cant have it both ways. Pick something to complain about, stick with it until its resolved and move on. Dont complain about a solution, it just means you dont like being wrong.

I don't see a lot of "complaining". There is a legitimate concern about traffic. If you drive that way at all you know it is a very busy area on Lindbergh. The entire Lindbergh corridor from 270 to New Halls Ferry is pretty intense. People seem to accept it as part of living here. A McD's at that location will clearly make things a little more busy but development has two sides. You get things and you give up things. You save a little gas by driving a shorter distance but the time needed to make the trip will not always be better.

The $1 promotion of the Quarter Pounders w/cheese is available from November 10th (Grand Opening Day) through November 24th. Also included in the promotion is a $1 Egg McMuffin which also lasts through November 24th.

However the one dollar Quarter Pounders and Egg McMuffins are good at all 4 McDonalds. Lindbergh (Hazelwood), Florissant Oaks, Flower Valley and Shackelford.

I went to the ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday morning. I was against this store or one similar store going into this location because of my concerns this would add to the already present traffic congestion. I didn't see any traffic problems until I stopped back in about 2:30 PM. I witnessed what I expected to see when someone came to a complete stop on Lindbergh while trying to cross the entry lane from Patterson to drive in to McDonalds.

I was disappointed that the Mayor didn't make his appearance at the ribbon cutting ceremony, since he said he would be frequenting the new McDonalds. The Mayor must have worked from home yesterday. Because he told me, "I put in 10 to 12 hours a day, 7 days a week."

McDonalds is gross. Do we really need more fast food? At least make it a NEW fast food joint, not another McDonalds. There are already 2 on Lindbergh and 2 on Shackelford/Howdershell. We could use more good sandwich joints or some other healthier options maybe. Bread Co looks healthy but is actually horrible for you. I dunno it would just be nice to get a new restaurant that is actually NEW not the #1 fast food crap joint in the world.

Maybe we could convince someone to open a good deli restaurant similar to the old 2 Cents Plain that used to be in Northwest Plaza. They were hard to beat.

you are all a bunch of cry babies. You would find something to complain about regardless of what went in there, even if its something you want.

I believe they are rebuilding the long john silvers on Hanley/Graham. Something is being built where the other one burned down.

You're correct. It was announced at the council meeting recently that the new Long Johns will be beginning construction. Spokesman fro Long Johns said it was being rebuilt but it would be a smaller restaurant than the old one. I can't imagine it being smaller than the old one, but that's what they said.

I drive by the new McDonalds at least twice a day... both times in rush hour, and don't notice a bit of difference in the traffic.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aquarius

Someone is being bombastic and overbearing, and you don't like it. You aren't prepared to take their behavior lying down, but standing up to them is likely to result in a rip-roaring row. Well, it seems that the row is almost inevitable, and perhaps that's just as well because it won't do you any good to swallow your anger or tolerate this person's boorishness for much longer.
