The Florissant Police is run by the Dictator Mayor, through a puppet Chief, supervised by the Mayors gestapo son, Captain Tim. Don't get in there way.

Amen too that. You better not disagree or argue with them or you are out on your butt. Many good officers have been forced out of the Dept. because they got on someones wrong side.

does forced out include those who have been passed over on promotions and left florissant for a different city?

Forced out, passed over, intimidated, asked to retire, encouraged to leave, radical shift changes, favoritism, isolationism, nepotism, and who knows what else.
Does it really make a difference? These actions are illegal by EEOC standards.
Captain Cruz didn't last long once promoted to Chief, just too much to deal with at city hall.

Yes to all of the above. Along with being blackballed at other Depts after leaving or having to leave the Florissant Dept. I could name several, but I wouldn't do it without the consent of those involved. I am sure they would just as soon not be victimized anymore than they have been already.

What is the net, net change? Promoted to Captain, get your raise, then watch everyone else take a 3% cut.

I'm curious as to how often they do shift changes. It almost seems its every two weeks to me. Thats a little too often if true.

They also seem to be run ragged for the craziest things. People are so paranoid someone is outside their door just waiting to get them.

' I heard loud bang outside my back door!'

'Someone is sitting on my street corner!'

'A car is sitting in the parking lot of Schnucks with a man in it!'

'Shots fired!!!!!!!' on 4th of july when its clearly fireworks.

The reality is, the more engaged the general public are with the Police Department, the better Police Department we have. More eyes, more ears, more input, all good info for the Police. The general public can make a difference once they are engaged.

I would start with the the two (out of 4 other) Lts. who where assigned as Detectives and/or Sergeants back when TL came on board as a POLICE EXPLORER SCOUT! Both were passed over for this promotion. His meteoric rise to greatness is rivaled only by that of big brother RLjr.
I feel bad for these guys. They had it done to them for RLjr, now TL!

Oh, and I forgot; they also had to watch RGLjr's sidekick JB pass them as well. What a club; the original "Friends and Family" plan!

I woud like to start by saying I have lived in Florissant literally my entire life. I have witnessed this wonderful town go from a beautiful place to start and raise your family to being an open air drug market. You know its a problem when just the other day I went to a local Mcdonalds to buy my children a happy meal without watching some crackhead jump in the car with a thug from the city, who probably lives in Florissant right now, and getting delt drugs IN PLAIN SIGHT OF MY CHILDREN then getting out of the car and leaving in his beat up truck. Do you have any idea how uneasy of a feeling that is not knowing if that drug deal is going to go bad and one of the two may start shooting. Or growing up going to Valley of Flowers and looking forward to this event every year, to now explaining to my children we cannot go without dodging bullets. Or having a man threaten to shoot you at a stop light because he thinks your staring at him. I know some agencys have undercover officers specificly dedicated to finding narcotics and weapons. Why cant Florissant follow suit, instead of wasting these resources by placing them looking for kids breaking into cars. Seems like a waste of taxpayers money. I have never once had my car broken into in Florissant, however I have witnessed numerous drug deals, almost been robbed, and been approached by ghetto thugs wishing to sell me drugs. This is unacceptable!!! MY children will not grow up in a neighborhood like this!

I once read in an aticle that 90% of Murder suspects have a prior drug conviction and 94% of Murder victims have a prior drug conviction. Robbery Burglary, and virtually every violent crimehave something to do with narcotics. People on a daily basis are dying from heroin overdoses. Florissant has not always had this problem, and since this has become even visible to me, and my wife who have both lived drug free lives, I would like to think it would be visible to one of the highest paid police agencys in the state.I would like to read the statistics on the last person who was murdered while their vehicle was getting broken into???? When?? I sure havent seen it on the news, but you sure chase those guys all over town causing untold ammounts of damage. How much did they steal??? enough to justify the damage?. I would love to see Florissant Police open your eyes. You have imigrants from the city moving to your town in record numbers destroying what this city used to pride itself on (Family). I am surprised when I see a Florissant Police car on a traffic stop, and not sitting in a Parking lot chumming it up with a pal. I can count on one hand the last time I have seen a Florissant Police Car drive down my street in the last 6 months.

All I am trying to get across is Drugs and guns are the basis of your problems all of them. Remove those, or do your best at this, and your problems will diminish. I cannot stand to have to look behind my back while walking into a store, or going to any event put on by the city of Florisant fearing I will get robbed or shot. So in closing you are losing another (arrest/drug free) citizen due to your obvius inatention to the real problem at hand. Soon if you do not address the problem and use your proper resources Florisant will become Ferguson or Kinloch. We see how thriving those cities are now. Good LUck

I agree 100% you see all these negative and often nasty posts that are made by complainers not doers. Pity party regulars!

I go to council meetings and neighborhood association meetings and those with our District rep and very, very few people show up at any of them. The people who do come are the regular ones who care enough to do something other than sit on their behinds and b****. I have no sympathy for any of the moaners and groaners on here, because I'll bet you any amount of money that they behave the same way about everything. They should all form a "doom and gloom" club where they can sit around and feel sorry for themselves.
