While the executives took a 300% pay increase.

I worked for Hostess (teamster) and we took the pay cut and concessions, rather than risking loss of our jobs. Our union gave us the facts, and good advice. Now we all lose because the bakers union thought they were smarter than everyone else. Sad day for all of us now. I would much rather be working for less, than not working for anything. Guess it is unemployment and foodstamps for a while. Or work for minimum wage somewhere.

There was a contributing factor that has been discussed much, the company was saddled with a lot of debt after a "vulture capitalist" firm stripped away a lot of their liquid assets. When are we going to go after these corporate raiders?

What makes people think they are going to make there point by calling names? Thats grade school mentality.
And $200k plus is "chump change"???????
It might be to a union boss, not to most of us.

I have to say I'm sorry for the Teamsters here, at least they were trying to be resonable, well, reasonable for unions anyway.

What really makes it all sad is that unions have completely lost their way. They need to focus on being an asset to companies, stressing professionalism and work expertise. If unions want to remain relevant they have to show that even though they may get paid more, the company will make more as well because the quality and quantity of work will go up.

Unfortunately, with ridiculous 'work rules' and the 'do just barely enough work' attitude unions both cost more and return a lower quality of work with a lower output of product to boot.
