So this is when the same people who complain about nothing new coming to town contradict themselves by complaining about new stuff coming to town. Nice.

The people of Florissant will love 54th Street. We have one here and the food is great. Bet the Mayor finds this to his liking so much it becomes a regular stop for his lunch meetings. Watch and see. You will be very happy it opened there.

I have heard a lot of good things about the one in Chesterfield. Are they locally owned or are they a national chain? Not that it matters, just curious

Hopefully everything goes through with it i heard it today from one of the waitresses at ponderosa while we were there today ...it was sad in one aspect because all 40 of there empolyees were told on tuesdat that they will be out of a job on sunday....but also good because it will bring a new fun atmosphere to lindbergh...i have no doubt in my mind they will nned to demolish the area and re build because if they follow the same decor as the wentzville store lol there gonna need alot of room specially for the elephant

My bro used to work at the Denny's on N.Hwy 67 and New Halls and the tips were jokes he said. I hope this new place isn't a sit down unless the waiters want to get stiffed...?

Denny's is a different class of place, like Ponderosa than this new place. Any place that can sell a steak for $8 and an all you can eat buffet isnt going to get the greatest tippers, just like any place that serves breakfast all day for $2.99 isnt going to either. People are there for a deal, not for a gourmet meal and to spend a wad of cash on tipping someone with no manners and a bad attitude.

The 54th Street Grill sounds like a nice place and a big improvement over Ponderosa.

Don't hold your breath. Black people will never tip anyone reasonably. I worked in the service industry all through college and hated working on Sundays because "they" would all come in and run you ragged with a table of 5 or 6 and leave a dollar tip. It was very uncommon to get a good tip from a table of black people and this was not in NORCO.

I have had this discussion with people that work in the Service industry and they say black people on the whole are some of the best tippers. They also said some of the worst tippers are the rich and the Sunday church crowd. Regardless, this establishment will do well in Florissant. Why all the hate?

This place is what Applebees wishes it could be...they have sorta the same atmosphere but there food is worth the cost u look between 6-20 bucks for a meal that includes steak they also have over i think 100 things plus on the menu to choose from...ask anyone who lives in wentzville or chesterfeild it is the place to go to watch a good game on the t.v or bring a family ...lol jeez i should be the spokeperson...but i cant help it i have had nothing but good food and great staff at the wentzville one im excited to see if that repeats itself here

Here's their website for anyone wishing to explore:

I've never been to 54th Street but their menu reminds me a lot of Chili's.
