Oh gee...."not for murder" but "only" abandoning a corpse. Why then, "as per the media", did people report they witnessed him literally carrying her around in the mid night hours of that night? You don't abandon a body. You don't NOT get someone medical attention when its obvious they may be in danger. And you sure as hell don't dump them in the woods unless you've got something you're hiding. It's real simple.

Even my thug bros have the common courtesy to dump their homies on the ER sidewalk when they shot.

Whites are supposed to be the masters of civility? What happened?

Wow Reverend...hit nerve there to cause that name calling? LOL! All you have to do is look at his rap-sheet and know that she was in danger being in his presence. I do "get" the murder vs. abandonment point you're making. I also get that she may have made a really scary choice in going with him. The point I was originally trying to make was about him being allowed to bond out based on his record plus he didn't even turn himself in until his name was out in the media. I'm sure the authorities have their eye on him as I do have great faith in the Florissant police and authorities. But if you have a guy who is repeatedly in the trouble the media has showed he's been in along with him not manning up until his name was out - I would consider him a flight risk. You don't have to be a town lynch mob to know the difference between mistake and character. That's also pretty simple.

Don't really see where anyone said he actually murdered her. But now that you mentioned it, anyone that supplied drugs to a person that dies using has been held responsible for the death and the laws are heading more toward that as we speak. We can also "assume" that she got the drugs from him, hense his record, she was with him, people said they saw him carrying her body around, etc. Hmmmm. And I don't care what anyone's habits are. Noone deserves to be disgarded like she was. Being a waste-case himself and panicky lack of a man is no excuse. If he would've been in jail where he belonged for his past offenses, we can also "assume" things would've been different.

it was said on the news that the dude had prior drug arrests....but I agree she killed herself. She chose to do drugs, she chose to leave the bar with guys she supposedly didn't know (we don't really know that she didn't know them, just that her family said THEY didn't know them.)And any drug addict would have panicked and dumped the body no matter what color you are....that's what drugs do to ya.

So DID you look at his rap sheet yourself? Or are you quoting something you heard? What charges has he been proven guilty of in the past? If she died from a drug overdose...then she killed herself with her own bad decisions. In which case you can put your pitchfork down and go home.
On another note...these young kids are killing themselves with all this heroin the US Govt. have been flying in from Afghanistan.
You rap him for spreading bullshit then you crap on yourself with a story of the United States Government flying in heroin themselves. What a loser.

No offense to her family, but she was a coked out slut who was still trying to get past her and her ex fiancée s split so she would coke it up, bar hop, and hook up with bar trash. Come on. This bia wasn't innocent. She probably ODed. It does happen. Yall are accusing this guy of murder. Well that's f ing wrong as shit. Maybe he did kill her but I would assume she ODed, he was probably high as hell and panicked and dumped her body.
who are you to resort to calling someone a slut unless you are there yourself. you don'r know anything about her or what she was doing. for her family to read trash from a filthy mouth like your doesn't even come close to anyone with a ounce of desency. her family has saw your remarks & it hurt her mother very much, she was their only child .

You need to find some new friends and take a long hard look in a mirror.

There are plenty of incentives to do the right thing. Aren't consequences for not, prior arrests or even a first time arrest, being on probation already, or maybe even a conscience enough? Until people take responsibility for their own actions, stop blaming whoever is bring drugs into our country, the judicial system, etc. this is what will be walking among us. Start getting panicky and so-called scared BEFORE you start a drug/crime life. Be afraid of the warnings of what it all does to you before you get into something like this or at least after the first time. Stay out of the legal/judicial mill as a defendent if you think they're going to screw you. And stop putting yourself in the atmospheres that bring the trouble and that will easily point a finger to you, especially if you've already got priors. Duhhhh. Maybe the system does fail some of these people...they should make sending them to detox or not suspending jail time part of probations or punishment. A person has to want a better life, a drug and crime free future as well. It takes them also, to be rehabilitated...if and when it's possible. Apparently some people don't "get scared" soon enough and ironically find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time with people doing the wrong thing on numerous instances...then panic when they are stuck right in the middle of it. Maybe getting this girl some medical attention by calling 911 could've not only saved her life but shown some nobility that could've worked for him. Why didn't that cross the mind? Because the legal system is the reason for all the situations to begin with? Why wasn't someone scared for her? Another misjudgement?

Do you teach 3rd graders? REALLY? These thugs aren't scared of cops and getting locked up means a vacation with their friends...get real..why don't you go find one of these guys and give him your master plan and tell him what he needs to do...
"Maybe getting this girl some medical attention by calling 911 could've not only saved her life but shown some nobility that could've worked for him."
Maybe society sees negativity and ignores positive deeds. One bad deed can erase every good deed you've ever done in your life. If people wanted to hear good things...the news wouldn't be the way it is.
You shake your finger at society from behind a keyboard but anything past that I doubt you would find yourself involved in.
Maybe she WAS a coke whore..What do you know?..Was she a better person than he was?
Do you know anything beyond what you read or hear in the paper?
Do you know anything beyond your own judgments about how things should be?
Are you IN third grade loser? And bet me. I'd stand toe to toe with you in heartbeat "Rev." I'm not the one behind a keyboard 98% of the time like you obviously are. You're just a troll....trying to stir people up all the time. Get a job.

My heart goes out to Valerie Butler's mom and family....What a shame this had to happen to her. She made bad choices sure, but how many times do our adult children listen to reason? It's impossible to follow them around town and be their baby sitters. Sometimes we as parents can talk til we are blue in the face and they just won't listen because sometimes they think they know more than us. Boy's are just as bad as girls with this party crap at Motels and such. Would a person call a guy a slut? Think sometimes there are double standards placed against women when a guy does the same thing he's not looked upon as a slut. At any rate,I have empathy for the family.
