Florissant City Council Gives OK to Sunday Liquor Sales Law

Was this really necessary?

I don't know which action you are referring to. But, if it concerns the "liquor law" I must say I have never understood any of them.(The exception being the legal age but that also confuses me a bit as to how a specific age was determined.)
Maybe it's because I seldom drink and if I am having a social function I can purchase what is needed during the week. For the life of me I cannot understand what difference it makes when liquor is sold. Do the legislators of these laws believe that by not allowing alcohol to be sold at certain times/days really plays a part in the consumption of such?
Either a person is a responsible drinker or not. And I am quite certain that is something that cannot be legislated with any success.
