I live in the florissant area and i know lots of people that feed deer(big no no). and once the deer are used to being fed they will come up to you expecting food from humans and apparently this deer was one that was being fed by humans and probably by these humans. such a shame a deer must be put down based on the stupidity of these folks.

I just returned from the Southwest visiting both rims of the Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce. There are signs that state it is against the law to feed wild animals. Does Colorado have any such law in RMNP or elsewhere?

Deer are dangerous??? Who'd a thunk it. Maybe lookin at those sharp pointy "things" on top of their head might've been an indication. Duh!! Just for future reference...are badgers dangerous,'cause I've been trying to feed this one out in the back field, but it growls at me sometimes. Is that bad??

That's great! Reading this made my day. Deer do not get very tame here in Mississippi or don't make it within arms reach! This has happened several times now and when will people learn that wildlife is NOT to be petted? Serves her right, poor animal, they didn't have to kill it.

An enternity of struggle. Depending on how humans kill animals, they run the risk of going to jail. However; if any animals kill a humans, they die.

Doesn't seem fair to me. I'm just saying......

I'm not PETA anything. I eat beef, chicken, fish and pork. Hell, I'll probably kill over from a coranary before I even fin......

So this idiotic woman approaches a buck to pet it? Then the deer is the one euthanized? Should be the woman who is euthanized.

There is a reason why they call it wildlife. This deer had to be put down only because of someone's stupidness.

We need signs that tell the animals not to let humans feed them. This case proves that the animals are smarter than some humans.
