Dellamo said, in a certification in the court file, that he decided to run for council in 2007 because of concerns about the church project....

Which is in his back yard.

As good a reason to run as any I guess.

Well, at least he is honest about being a self-serving politican in it for himself.

Someone please explain to me why I should vote for this guy in 3 weeks?

Because he only wants what is good for this town and he is honest , he sees where the problems are, the man stands up and says the truth he is far from sneaky and we should all want him on our town council!

Looks like he didn't know (or care) where the boundry line was on his property and the problem with dumping toxic material there. Or he had too much blind faith in whomever dumped the fill there- which doesn't appear to have been named. Or maybe just figured St. Michaels would never develop it. Smells fishy

Lets look into St. Michaels for a minute. Non - profit, gets tax money for the school, asks the parish to bless John "The Molester" for his sentencing, raises millions in tax free money, pays NO property tax and now suing over a small issue of a little dirt on the property! I did not even mention that this so called church won't even shovel the sidewalks for the public! Yet no tickets! SHAME ON ST. MICHAELS...THIEVES! God bless the Dellamo family.

what are YOU smokin? bennie the boot dumped on property that IS NOT HIS!!! he thought he would not get caught because he is ignorant and arrogant. vote him out St. Michael parishioners. why should the church put up with his crap. he is in the wrong. IT WAS NOT HIS PROPERTY!!!!!! Benny The Boot needs the Boot out of town politics. also. he had trouble on the circle. he is allowed to build and buy and change his properties any way he wants. let's not let him get his way this time. if it was not the church he would have gotten his way and no one would care. Benny loves Benny...yuck.

Ben is one of the better councilman he is a good businessman and knows what the hell is going in this town.If some of you Residents attended a meeting once in a while you will see it. What makes any of you think that the church is always right. The Pastor spent over a million dollars on a parking lot and now wants Ben to pay for it. Read the paper again that is what I got out of it. He is willing to build a wall but the Attorneys want the MONEY!!! Ask yourself this question why was this story put into the paper now 3 weeks before the election.

Maybe because he just went to court the other day? But, after the behavior he displayed at at BOE meeting in front of children I and others have lost a lot of respect for him.

Should God bless the family for free since his church property is tax exempt?

I attended ONE boe meeting in which Benny was there. He got up spoke intelligently and with strong facts, was completely disrespected and disregarded less than half way through what he was trying to say and then the board SPOKE over him and then dismissed him. It was very frustrating for him, embarrassing and distasteful on behalf of the board WE in essence hired and i never went to another meeting.

FYI...This is most likely the last year St. Michaels will be in existence...one more year if they try to hold on but unlikely.

Once again the people of this town are wrong, the church collects 2.5 mil from it's followers and build a parking lot? where did the money go? this problem wasn't found before the project only after when thet went broke? Mr. Dellamo spoke out against ALL the problems the church created but certain officials chose to ignore it because you can trust a church and a good contractor. why didn't the contractor take out any bonds? if a resident wants to put up a four foot fence you're put through a ringer yet I don't see a side walk on rt 46 as per town ordinance? where are the buffer zones? how many complaints were lodged with the county during construction? many regarding flooding, dust control, noise and blasting how many citations did the town write? none, zero, if it weren't for the efforts of people like Mr Dellamo and even Mr Sylvester the church would have run amok i think the handling of this project and the current situation at the school show that in the real world this company would have bankrupt, shut down and sent to jail for what they have done.

Are you kidding? He yelled, he pointed fingers, he accused, and he cursed. Behavior unbecoming a councilman and I lost alot of respect for him because of those antics. There were children present and he was the embarrassment. He was so wrong!

you could do more as a private citizen at a board meeting then being on the board, so as a councilman Mr Dellamo was questioning ALL facets of this project concerning the town, any personal issues regarding his property would cause him to recuse himself which means he wouldn't be able to comment or vote on an issue affecting him. it seems to me that the town and residents came first.
