18 years ago Arturo didnt commit this murder. All he was doing was attending a family wedding and a wedding dance.
Out of towners yes, but not there for a hidden agenda.
Wouldn,t it make more sense that someone from his hometown did this horrible crime?
what kind of man was Michael? God Bless his soul, what new evidence could have appeared after 18 years.
Or is this new evidence someone from the community who is trying to get out of jail or trouble and recalls how they tried to accuse this man 18 years ago and feels its their ace up their sleeve?
Theres something terribly wrong with our system when an innocent man is picked up booked and held in jail for a murder he did not do with no evidence where a reasonable jury would convict! What a waste of tax money. Shame on you rene pena!

back in 1988 4 kids rode together to attend a family wedding and dance.they were accused of the dissapperance of another wedding guest.they were eventually stopped being harrassed. 2 months later they find a body.then the harrassment stsrted again.then because they didnt do it and obvciously no evidence it stopped again.now they say new evidence exists. Trust me after 18 years there is no new evidence. the only thing possible is the real murderer is in trouble or his family he has come forward and blamed arthur which just happens to be a family member. He is either the real murderer or remembers the story from back in 1988 and it is the only thing he has to trade.Arthiur really didnt do it and to hold him in a jail cell for a month causing his family untold hardship trying to raise bond money and the stress of the tx rangers lies to try to get someone to confess is taking its toll. That is the real crime here.Taking a incredible witness word over a church going hardworking family man is unbelieveable. I hope we can sue for false arrest with malice.

HIRE A GOOD LAWYER AND BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THAT D.A. HE IS NOT AFTER JUSTICE, HE IS ONLY AFTER CLOSURE, NO MATTER WHO IS INNOCENT OR WHO IS GUILTY!!! DO NOT SETTLE WHEN IT COMES TO AN ATTORNEY, PAY THE MONEY OR HE WILL BE CONVICTED!

isn't it weird how people only start to care when it happens to THEIR loved ones? I am guilty of that as well, so i am not judging. Just pointing out the facts. That DA and his little pee-on Hudson are corrupt and will do what ever it takes to get a conviction, even if it means that the innocent go to prison and the guilty walk free. They have no desire for justice.

Well when we had to wait for 30 days to get an appointed lawyer one of the brothers came up with a lawyer.I hope and pray he is a criminal lawyer. We are all scared of small town in texas justice but the very fact that we got this story published and alot of people know about it may save Arthur but not forgetting that the judge and a jury surely wont convict on no evidence!!! but i am the one that said a grand jury wont indict and look where we are now.We have our God and we have faith even still that justice will prevail.

who is your lawyer now and who was the appointed lawyer? There is no actual evidence needed to convict someone. A cop could type up a confession and trick arthur into signing it while he is half asleep! And even without ANY of Arthur's DNA or any witnesses, they CAN and convict. It happened to our family less than a year ago.

I live in the little town of Stockdale, which is in Wilson County. I know of the corruption that exist in these little towns. If you are well to do or well known in this county, that will decide how you are treated. People with money or if they know people in charge of the jail will recieve special treatment. I am a wittness to this. Rene Pena was one of the best lawyers before he became DA.

i bet he was. The problem is that when good people are given power, THEY CHANGE!!! they forget what is important! Then they have to kiss butt to remain in power, so I bet it is hard to be in his situation. I pray that they toss and turn all night every night if they knowingly convict the innocent.

Are you allowed to see Arthur? He has a right to a speedy trial and he also has a right to receive ALL evidence that they have or will use against him. A motion for discovery needs to be filed. Also, file for bond reduction and do NOT plea bargain. Be careful and tell him to keep the faith.
