Went to Windsor animal hosp for the first time and cannot say enough about the place. I thought my cat was going there to be euthanized, but dr causey said it wasn't time. He hospitalized her, and now she is back to her old self. She hasn't felt this good in months. The front staff was friendly and knowlegable, they entire staff was great. This is a beauriful facility all the way through. If not for Dr. causey and his staff, the story would have ended with buryin her. He met me up there a few days after she went home because I though she was sick again-turned out to be a hairball, but he laughed along with me even though it was late at night. I have switched all of my pets To Windsor Animal Hospital now and have never regretted it.

Dr. Causey has just about the best staff I've ever encountered at a veterinary hospital. Very patient and kind to both animals and owners. And Dr. Causey truly loves his work. Very evident in the way he interacts with everyone. I'm very pleased with the service my animal family and I have received there.

We have gone to Dr. Causey for many years for all of our pet needs. One of our dogs had to be put to sleep recently, and I cannot say enough about Dr. Causey and the way he helped us to accept and handle it. The loss was huge for our family, but the compassion and professionalism of Dr. Causey made it much easier for us to handle. I wouldn't go anywhere else for our pet needs!

I haven't needed a vet in a couple years and was surprised (but very happy) to find out that dr. casuey had left from hewitt animal hospital. the staff at hewitt have always been in too much of a hurry to make me feel like they cared about my dog-even the day my old lab had to put to sleep, I felt like I was a burden to them. Now I have found my dr. causey and his new and improved staff-from the minute I walk in the door, Terri (the only smart one to have followed him over) and the rest of the staff make me feel welcome, and relaxed to know that they are giving my new dog and cat the best care. they take as much time as I need to answer ALL of my questions, and I never feel like I am "interrupting" their work! So glad to have dr. casuey again!

Dr Causey is definetly the best vet around! I toom my new great dane puppy in to see him and he literally sat down with me for a good 20 minutes answering questions and telling me stuff I needed to know..and might I add I was the last appointment of the day so im sure he could have easily gave her her shots and sent me on my way. That shows how much he cares for the animals he treats. The whole entire staff there is awesome! Never going anywhere else!

Do not look for a caring staff and vet anymore, This is the place to take your pets.
Kind, compassionate and accurate diagnostics you will get it all at Dr Causey's practice.
Sushi and Vava have been "patients" there for several years now and I could not be more satisfied
with their high level of concern.
It is a comforting feeling to have a team that you trust for the well being of your beloved pets.

I love Windsor Animal Hospital! Since moving to Florence from Charlotte with 5 dogs we needed a vet. I just happened to pick Windsor out of the phone book and boy did I get lucky! A couple months ago my 11 year old lab got really sick and I brought him in hysterical. They took us into the back immediately and within minutes they had run tests and Dr Causey knew what was wrong. I thought we would be putting him down but he pulled through thanks to the immediate medical attention he received. He had to stay over the weekend and I was able to come in the morning and evening to see him because everyone there is awesome! And through this whole thing I was never asked for a penny until he was ready to come home and they worked with me on a payment plan. Everyone there is great and I could not be more satisfied with them! I would recommend them to any and everybody! I can't thank them enough for saving my baby!!

I used to think this place had all that one would need in animal care for your pet. I was very impressed with the decor and cleanliness of the establishment. I also enjoy Dr. Causey and THOUGHT he was knowlegable.
However all that changed recently when I took my dog in for excessive panting. He then began a heart X-ray of my dog, heartworm test (which she was only 8 months old and has always been on preventative), and other blood tests. The end result was him telling me that my dog had an enlarged heart and him charging me $200. He quickly urged me to send her to a cardiologist specialist, so I made an appoitment which was going to cost me anywhere from $120-$1000.
I wasnt satisfied so I took my dog for a second opinion at Marlboro Veterinary Services because I've heard great things about them. His opinion was her heart looked fine, but to be sure he sent the X-Rays to a licensed cardiologists. The cardiologists agreed the heart looked fine.
Turns out the cardiologists that Dr. Causey recommended isnt even a licensed cardiologists. They have experience with EKGs is what the receptionist informed me. Of course the vet I used for a second opinion had already told me this.
In summation, Dr. Causey charged me $200 and gave me bad information about my pet. He also tried to refer me to a person he thought was a cardiologist specialist, but in fact was just someone who had experience with EKGs. My second opinion charged me $35 and sent my X-rays to a LICENSED CARDIOLOGIST for their expert opinion for free. Dr. Causey is motivated by financial gain, and gave me bad information due to his lack of knowledge concerning my pet. The simplest task of positioning my dog correctly caused his err in her diagnosis, and I do not take that kindly.

Had a very positive experience taking in our new adopted cat, Lucy, today. We had the same opinion as most of those posted and couldn't have asked for better treatment. Having used another facility for years I can truly see the difference in having a calm clean atmosphere as opposed to the frightening noises of other places we've used. The lounging cats who walk freely around and nap in the sunlight make it clear this is a place Lucy will be happy to return to often. Lucy will have a monthly pedicure at only $5! So glad I didn't buy that expensive "do it yourself" nail clipper! I have every confidence in Dr. Causey's credentials and trust him with our newest family member.

@MCS, Charlotte: I am sorry to hear of your negative experience, but it seems to me that even the most advanced doctors, vets, nurses, etc. can make a mistake. If this were a common experience there would be many of those on this review board. I'd venture to add that Dr. Causey would likely have refunded your money had you returned with your new evidence. I'm glad I'm not judged for every honest mistake I make. I'm sure he called it as he saw it. Had you returned, it would have helped him grow in this area. I hope your pet is fine now, but I will give Dr. Causey the benefit of the doubt and trust him with Lucy.

As Office Manager @ Windsor, I feel it's important to give both sides of the story here...this particular client requested a referal to this particular cardiologist. We were only complying with her requests...also left out many details of this particular case which I cannot print for her own privacy. Any one who knows Dr. Causey knows truthfully that he is not "motivated by financial gain"...

We have three dogs: a mut, a cairn terrier, and a pit bull. We LOVE taking all of our animals to Dr. Causey's office. He is very knowledgeable, and pretty dang funny to boot. Thanks for all the great services we receive when there.

As an animal lover, I've had many experiences with many different vets over the years. Dr Causey is the best. I love the staff, the office atmosphere and the care my pets receive. Dr Causey and his wife (also Dr Causey :) ) are the only vets I'll ever take my pets to.
