1 The cap and trade energy tax will take money out of everyone's pocket in every state. Only insiders like Al Gore and the Wall St bankers will make money. And the jobs will not be moving to Kansas. They'll be going to China instead. |

1 Exactly. Cap and Trade will benefit the globalist elite, and those manufacturing jobs will go overseas. Our electric energy bills will spiral up to 90% by 2035 if this bill is enacted. Also, farming will be hard hit due to its implementation, resulting in drastic increases in food costs. The answer is clear to most Americans....vote NO Senators!!! |

The key words there are "those manufacturing jobs will go overseas." Libs don't seem to care much about traditional factory jobs. But with the failed public education system graduation rate as little as 25% in some parts of the country factory jobs are their only hope of a decent income. Provided the liberal welfare state has not made them too lazy to take those jobs. |

The Liberal elite's don't care about the common man working hard in a factory. It is mere lip service they give on the downtrodden. Their elitism runs hand in hand with greed. |

1 Agreed. Actually for libs like Obama the more poor people there are the better it is for him because that makes them dependent on the government handouts that he controls. |

1 If you believe the Republicans are no better than the Democrats then you must not have any optimism for the future. Because it means that this country is headed for a complete meltdown. But I think for all their faults the Republicans are still marginally better than the Democrats and our only hope to avoid a socialist/communist/progressiv e hell on earth. |

1 The upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Dec. 17-18 is to use global warming as a pretext to lay the foundation for a one world government. http://www/wnd.com/index.php?f a=PAGE.view&pageid=113219 |

Oversimplification may make you feel like the good guy, but it doesn't solve many problems. |
||||
Negativism is the root of your statement. The pompous need to project your inflated feelings of superiority on any given subject. Doesn't change the facts, regarding harmful cost to the American people due to the implementation of Cap & Trade. You choose to disparage the validity of the harm which result from this bill, only because of your personal bias. |

In Hutchinson, Siemans is building a wind turbine plant "expected to create an estimated 400 jobs and will be the first major wind turbine equipment factory in Kansas, which is ranked third in the U.S. for its wind energy resource potential."
http://www.sustainablebusiness.com/index.cfm/... Yes, it says Kansas is 3rd in US in wind energy potential. Cap & trade will force utilities and businesses wanting more electricity to develop non-polluting sources which are abundant in Kansas making Kansas better for business compared to East coast. Colin Hansen is wrong about Cap & Trade benefiting the coasts more than Kansas, it's the opposite. Kansas is in better position for wind, solar, biomass and gas. Kansas farmers are benefiting from requirements for biomass and could benefit more with better infrastructure for it. |

Why do the fascists in the Democrat Party have to force anyone to build windmills? If alternative energy is so great everyone would be rushing to do it already. In fact wind power cannot supply our energy needs and it costs more per kw for the electricity it does manage to generate. |

Not Evil, Just Wrong illustrates on film what Heritage experts have been telling lawmakers, the media and the American people about global warming legislation: these new regulations will impose a huge burden on the economy. New Heritage research drives the point home. Writing on Heritage's blog, the Foundry, Heritage expert Nick Lorris details important new studies finding that "far more jobs would be destroyed than green jobs created, households will lose income, and the economy as a whole will be operating $9.4 trillion under its potential from 2012-2035 -- all because of cap and trade."
The documentary puts a human face on the widespread job losses resulting from climate change legislation, which would pummel critical American industries that depend on traditional energy sources. And it sheds light on the harmful policies that burden people and industry in exchange for little or no environmental benefit. Joining the expert panel at the Heritage premiere, director Ann McElhinney explained why she sought to counter the Left with Not Evil, Just Wrong: They don't allow us to teach religion in the public schools of America ... but there is a religion being taught and it's not based on anything factual. It's a green religion ... This is not good. It's a religion that hates America ... and anyone who ignores it is ignoring it at their own peril. The panel discussion, moderated by journalist Andrew Breitbart, also included MIT meteorology researcher Richard Lindzen; medical researcher Donald Roberts; and Wall Street Journal columnist John Fund. » Watch a video of the panel discussion on MyHeritage.org . While each panelist offered a different perspective, each defended the same, sound conclusion: "There's a right way and a wrong way to protect the environment. Americans are completely capable of being good stewards of the environment without the government telling us how or why." Instead of undermining American prosperity and free enterprise by enacting radical environmental regulations, Congress should work to diversify our energy sources. These new sources include expanded domestic oil production, nuclear energy, coal and renewable fuels. Heritage experts argue that lawmakers should craft "policies that will lower gas and electricity prices rather than raise them. When government impediments are lifted, America's energy entrepreneurs can develop innovative and market-driven solutions to our energy needs." |
