Great idea to put people like Ramzi Yousef, Zacarias Muossaoui, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, in a US prison where they will get the rights of US prisoners. If we allow them into the US prison system, experience shows, they will eventually get released with some legal technicality, or with a pardon from some corrupt politician.

"... no community in America would want terrorism suspects in its backyard."

Let me get this straight.

We're good with sending kids to sacrifice and die in Iraq - where there were no WMD, I'll remind you. We're good with sending kids to sacrifice in Afghanistan.

But we have a problem with "sacrificing" by having suspected terrorists locked-up behind iron and concrete in our own home towns.

Yep.

That sounds about right.

Americans - we talk a good game, but when it comes to "sacrificing" we wouldn't sacrifice our MTVs for freedom if it came to it.

Gitmo is in communist Cuba. It's hard to get into Cuba. Just ask Kennedy.

There is a reason the republicans think the prisoners will run free. They are afraid they will be given a fair trial and no evidence will be presented against them. How can you convict a school child who was apprehended from his classroom? You can't really use the confession obtained after years of torture. There is no evidence so none can be presented.
The problem is that these innocent people have been tortured so long, that is natural to expect they will want revenge. Since they didn't do anything wrong, how can they be held? If we let them go, what will happen. They must be pretty upset with the US.
so your positive these poor terrorists are innocent. they probably would like to stay in the U.S.. maybe you could put a couple of them up at your place. the guilty ones can stay in colorado prisons. all fine with me.

What sort of technicality: the lack of evidence of guilt? Why don't we just lock you up? You sure seem scary and unstable.

We need the space at Supermax for the new Broncos practice facility. I sure hope they let them out on Sundays for games.
