I have had the pellets since July 21st. I can't say a great deal yet, but I already have more energy, and my libido has improved! I feel better every day! My cousin has had two sets, and she says she feels like a teenager again! She is 46, so this sounds awesome to me. I only hope I feel that good after a few months! I also had a tubal ligation, ablation, and D & C about a month ago (also performed by Dr. Woodford). I no longer have headaches or cramps, and I haven't felt this good in over 10 years! He is a wonderful doctor! I told him the problems I was having, and he explained the procedures I needed to get me on the right track. I trust him completely. Most insurances will not cover the cost of the pellets, but it is well worth the money (about $420.00 per year), plus his office will set up an excellent payment plan. I highly recommend this procedure. I guess I've said enough, but I am thrilled so far with my results!

I had pellets almost a year ago. I'm post-menopausal & still have my uterus. I became extremely irritable and against my better judgment let them insert another pellet about 3 months later. Irritability only increased and when I started taking the progesterone I started bleeding so heavily I called the emergency doctor. This continued off and on (very heavy bleeding) for about 6 weeks and I had to have a biopsy. Also, nearly a year later I still have irritabilty and had to start taking antidepressants again. Needless to say, I will NEVER use or recommend these pellets to women past menopause who still have their uterus! A friend who is 58 yrs old had to have a hysterectomy after using the pellets due to heavy bleeding. Another friend who has had a hysterectomy stopped the pellets because of severe leg swelling.

I've had pellets for 8 years. I am in surgical menopause and they drastically changed my life for the better. My fiance got pellets in June on his 60th birthday. He's loving them too.

Florence....I'm sorry you are having problems. Not all women have problems like yours even though they have a uterus. It is definitely a balancing act when you have to add progesterone into the mix.

I have a Yahoo group called HormonePellets. We have over 350 members, including a pharmacist that owns a pharmacy that makes pellets. Many of the women have their parts, use progesterone and love the pellets. Come join us and see how they are making it work.

I also got pellets at Dr Woodfords.Wow..i was beginning to think i was the only one with some of these side effects. Actually i can handle the hair on my lip and face,a few pimples, the spike of RAWR from the pellet inserts at first.(been getting the pellets for over a year now)I have all my female parts.Im 51 and was diagnosed with premature menopause 4 months after having my only child at 34.(Took prempro for years so i had no period). I take 200mg of progesterone for 12 days 4 times a year..having a period every 3 months i could handle that..one time last year had a little breakthrough bleeding one time then not again My main problem now is 2 1/2 months ago i had breakthrough bleeding just like a period for a few days and last month the same way..also cramped but i could handle it but i wasnt suppose to be having a period those months. So i called my obgyn..went in..had a vag ultrasound..showed a few fibroid tumors which he said probably been there for years and maybe the bleeding is coming from those..in 3 weeks im having a endometr biopsy just to make sure not cancerous..even though he said most all the time are benign. Just took the progesterone for 12 days this month..on the 9th day started my period..just like a heavy period...but past few days felt awful, fatigue, cold, sleepy, seve re crams that rarely let up.He ask if i was passing clots..i dont guess i am..its been years since i had periods since i took the prempro..i dont even know what a normal period was actually..all i know is im having breakthrough bleeding and its not lightly and it last for a few days then i spotted then it stopped.. then when i have the period i should im feeling exhausted and was in the bed the past weekend most all weekend. I just wish i knew what to do..i actually think its a enbalance of the estrogen or progesterone somehow...i just dont know. I really think maybe some doctors just dont know what to do about all this breakthrough bleeding women are having from the pellet/progesterone treatment. Other than that i have to say the pellets gave me back my life that i lost so many young years of raising my child. Just thankful i have hope now..just praying to get this breakthrough bleeding under control..just too much bleeding. I love the pellets just hate the breakthrough bleeding thats just started for me july and august. I dread if i have to get a D&C or a hyster...just hope i can still get the pellets after that. Im really very upset about this.

I was so scared to get the pellets. Now I'm about to get my second insertion. I live in California so I can't testify to your doctor, but can easily say due to the pellets I have a quality of life I never knew I could ever have again. Yes, my breasts hurt, but I take extra strenght DIM which helps along with 200 mg of progesterone capsules at night. Reserve any judgement of skepticism until you just try it. I feel alive for the first time in 8 years. I can not imagine not having the pellets ever again. Can sleep, I have tons of energy, I'm in a good mood and most importantly my short temper has gone away. God bless the person who developed this safe and effective treatment for severe menopausal women like myself. Blessings to you. Just try it and see the difference.

Got pellets but not from a gyn. Loved them until the bleeding started. Ended up at the gyn and recently had a laproscopic hysterectomy (ovaries and uterus). The gyn has me on an estrogen patch, but I'm gaining weight and do not feel nearly as well as I did on the pellets. When I started on the pellets, I felt wonderful, alive, and able to accomplish things. Probably will try the pellets again.

I was very interested in your comments regarding the pellet. I am in my first full year of the pellets and while I love the convenience of the pellet vs. creams, etc., which are not nearly as effective, I am experiencing bleeding every other week, of every month! Csn you tell me if your 200 mg of Progesterone nightly is a continuous dose or do you take a break from It at any point. Appreciate any feedback you can provide.

I am 49 and absolutely LOVE my pellets! Have gotten them for years! Dr. Woodford also did my ablation and that was a blessing!....it was no big deal...Love it! The pellets give me life as if I were tenty-five again! I am a "mature" mom of a six year old and I have the energy and spark to keep up! I take Progesterone every night.......and OMG....sleep like a baby! The pellets are worth ANY type symptoms or side effects...ie. hair growth or hair loss or water weight....there are medications and shampoos for any hair thinning. TRUST me .....these are nothing just to get the quality of life that I now have! To anyone even a bit interested....I suggest they call him and get an appointment. If you just sit in his waiting room you can talk to the thousands of satisfied patients.

I am 60 and have had two sets of pellets this year. I feel much better than I have in years. I was on antidepressants for 15 years, gained weight, and still struggled with depression. I decided to go off medication and try the pellets. I had heard how decreasing estrogen levels could cause depression in women. I'm not on antidepressants since Nov 2012 and I feel more Up than I have been in a long time. I have a sense of humor again. My libido is up and I have been able to start and stay on a diet. I've tried diets and pills before but would only lose 5-10 pounds. So far I've lost over 15 pounds in 1-1/2 months. I'm thankful that I've given the pellets a try. The only thing I have noticed is that after a month or so, my libido starts going back down and I start losing interest in sex again. I'm going to ask the doctor about that. On the second round of pellets, he did increase my dose of pellets. Also, during my first round of pellets, near the end of the three-month period, I could tell I got easily irritated about things in general, so that wasn't very pleasant for me. I had to bite my tongue to keep from hurting someone with my anger.

I take 200 mg of progesterone every night and have had no bleeding. In the first course of pellets, I did have some cramping for several days but I never bled. I have more energy. I also was on Ambien for sleep but stopped that in November too. I am able to go to sleep at night and sleep a good 6-7 hours at night and I wake up better on the weekends.

I am sorry for the people who have bad experiences with the "Pellets". I LOVE mine. My husband, daughter and her husband love them ! Everyone in the waiting room when I go in loves them ! I have had some life long health problems, fms/cfs which there is NO cure,. BUT,,the "pellets" have given me a much more normal life than I had ever hoped for. Energy, less memory problems, and helped with the excruciating pain from fibro and more energy.. For around 10 years, I lived on my couch due to pain and fatigue. And yes I still have couch days, but not nearly as many !! They sure make a huge improvement in my quality of life ! And my libido is back !!! No more depression. I never thought I would have any better quality of life but so glad I tried them. So glad I drove my husband up there kicking and screaming to get his first pellets. Now he is waiting at the door for them to open on his appoappointments. They have helped us so much. The few side effects are managable with a little pill the Dr. Woodford can give you to take for a while. Please do yourself a favor and try them a couple of times before you discount their ability to help you. they don't work for You fel I have a new lease on life .I have gotten the pellets the first month they were available in his office. And I can't imagine life without them !

I have gotten pellets from Dr. Woodford since the day he started implanting them. I love them ! He has guided me And my husband through them every step of the way. I do get the acne and hair problem, there is an adjustment period. But it is worth it in the long run. There is a pill you can take for a month or ever how long you need it that helps control the side effects. The good from these out weigh the side effects in the long run. My husband started them a few months after I did. It has really helped our energy levels and our sex drive. We have been together for 21yrs. and it's like were are our libido had sort of slowed down. But not now. We can't wait to be together. Like I said ,,the good definitely our weighs the side effects. Be your own judge, some people don't like them from what I have read above. BUT the people I meet around town that have them all love them ! I have never met anyone in person that said anything bad about the pellets ! And Dr. Woodford and his staff and nurses are great ..plus his gun offices are right next door. Hope this helps !

I just got my first pellet this week, so I can't make any educated comments yet. I am hopeful of the outcome and trust my doctor completely. Has anyone been able to get their pellets covered by insurance? The cost came as a surprise to me, but will be worth it if they work.

Thank you for any information you can give me.
