Inhuman act of landlord

I live in Wave Crest Gardens in Far Rockaway and the landlord did not extend one ounce of humanity nor concern for the Tenants. The Security people never came around to see if any Tenants, especially the Elderly and Handicapped, needed Water, Candles, Batteries, Food or anything. But the landlord did make sure that the Rent Statements were distributed during the Blackout. What about that? But then taking into consideration that the landlord removed the Fire Escapes from another building owned in the Bronx in June, why expect any more than what we received; which was absolutely nothing. We sat for Eleven days in the dark and cold and then hit with "I don't care what you have been going through, just make sure that you pay me my rent money". We should get some kind of adjustment for not having any kind of services for those Eleven days like some other people are getting a rent reduction. Why is Rockaway so overlooked?

Because a few rotten apples destroyed the entire bunch. I dont think its fair that the good people of Far rockaway got ignored because of the few that act as if they have had no home training. I say if you can get the heck out of there because it will happen again and no telling what the damage will be next time around hope you have light and gas now and that you are ok and I would not pay that landlord on red cent for those days add up all of your losses and deduct that from their rent.
