Floral Park: A suburban outpost on city's edge

Full story: AMNY 108

Wow, what a fountain of misinformation you are! It was no ordinary Muslim group, it was the Black Muslims, one of the most racist groups in America, led by probably the #1 racist in this country, Louis Farrakhan. You spout off here and demagogue against racists, and then complain when the Village did a great job of keeping a group of racists out of the Village.
Check your facts first before you start spouting off your liberal/progressive BS. And stop threatening people with the Nassau County Police watching them... the Police are probably laughing every time you call them to complain about someone exercising their right to FREE SPEECH on the internet.
If you think that Floral Park is to white, why do you live there? Why don't you move to a more blended neighborhood in Elmont or Roosevelt? Why? Because you would never leave your house because you are a hypocrite.
First of all they were not black muslims, they were middle eastern muslims. There were about 50 or 60 that went to the village meeting to find out why this happened to them. If you saw them you would have realized that not ONE was black.. And speaking about so-called blended neighborhoods...I used to live in a black neighborhood in Crown Heights Brooklyn and, yes I DID go out and leave my house every day, got on the #2 train at Sterling Street, and took the bus on Nostrand Avenue as well as shopped in the neighborhood. Did it bother me? NO, because people are people, period. So don't tell me what I would or ould not do because you don't know anything about me. And I don't know what you are talking about regarding calling the police--I never called the police--what are you talking about?

I am ashamed of the prejudiced and disgusting comments made above. I am also surprised that Todd Delamuca posted his name, as he can now be legally charged for his biased comments. Slander is illegal. Hate crimes can get you into prison. Watch for Todd Delamuca behind bars.
The generalizations of a group of people due to an individual he may have encountered or something he was wrongly taught (prejudice) is disgusting.
To all those who have read this column, and see the horrid writings by some provincial white people, I beg your forgiveness. Just because Todd is small-minded, please don't think all white people are pea-brained as well.
Thank you.
I couldn't have said it better myself--there seem to be alot of racists on this site.

You know what is truly funny, when someone who makes broad generalizations about a group of people, such as you "AuntKitty" then agrees that there are a lot of racists, or bigots, etc.

You stereotype an entire village, and then make this kind of a stupid statement? You my dear are a bigot and a hypocrite, typical of the left wing. The problem with dolts like you who make stupid statements about racism must realize by now that the rest of us no longer care. We know the term is just used by the left wing kooks to try to silence the opposition. Well it doesn't work anymore, we are onto your games, try again. We are not racist. I judge people individually by their actions, but my eyes are wide open. When I look to the trouble spots on the Island, the growing trouble spots, there is a common denominator. To ignore the reality is equivalent to sticking your head in the sand. Here is a clue, we don't live in a Utopian dreamworld, there is your fantasy world and the reality that the rest of us live in.

You are operating with the brain of a 3 year old, and yes, it was the black Muslims. Stop spouting your ignorance and trying to remake history, we who know the truth are going to call you on it every time.

yea, it's true the masonic temple was purchased under the described circumstances - except it was only a threat by the owners, and evidence of the alleged purchased was never produced. Then again, when a group of out of town indians purchased the little church on floral parkway they wanted a variance to doulbe it's size and add parking, totally destroying the character of the building. They were turned down by the arhictectual review committee but with good underlying reasons - no one in the "congregation" lived in the vllage. the church was intended as a local house of worship that most congregants could walk to, not clog the streets as they currently do with worshippers coming form as far away as new jersey and staying all day.

its not todd delamuca...he is too scared to show his real name...but, he hangs out at city hall and declares the mayor and trustees are just as racist as him...

his first name is todd, but, his last is not delamuca...he also goes to fallons and trinitys

he again, has bragged the village agrees with his racist views...he dares anyone to find him in city hall...there is a post in the yankee talkback, page 5858 where he states where he hangs out in floral park...

anyone need help finding him, just go to the town hall and ask for todd...i am sure he will share all his racist views with anyone. he is also a bigot by the way and a avowed stalker...the so called, trifecta.

Koenigs is still there, but it is not on Tulip Avenue--it is on Tyson Avenue. The Tulip Bakery is still there and Ben Peters Beauty Parlor is there on Tulip. There used to be Vita's Drug Store next to Ben Peters but it closed down; Lee's Drug Store is still on Tulip and Tulip Avenue has bragging rights (if you can call it that) I heard that Tulip Avenue has more bars and bar/restaurants per square mile than anywhere else.
right you are Anut Kitty, the bar capital of the world...as the old saying goes "if you're not white stay out of of our village at night"....Floral Park Village "a great place to live"
