Republican lawmakers are proposing to eliminate New Mexico's personal and corporate income taxes and replace them with a broad-based tax on sales of goods and services.

they have that NOW.
its called sales tax, changing the name does nothing to change the fact its a tax on whats left of your income as a charge for the luxury of your gubbmnint allowing you to spend what they hadnt grabbed yet.
