PEOPLE NEED TO READ INBETWEEN THE LINES HERE. Looks like karma is making its way past old Steve Murphy. Surround yourself around corrupt people and corruption will finds its way in your home. How many of these stolen guns were payment to Steve for getting off cases that were questionable in the firstplace. When you step in poo poo you smell like it.

Headline: "Man convicted of receiving stolen property from attorney"

If he received stolen property from an attorney, shouldn't the attorney (Steve Murphy) also be criminally charged?

Did the local DA's office handle this case? If so isn't that a little bit of a conflict seeing as on of the Chief Deputies used to work for him and the current DA was supported by him. Is this the only case they have actually pushed for a conviction on???

Just think about it. What would a drug dealer be doing with an attorney? Do they have a common interest, if so what could that be? The law does not always seem fair. Often criminals get off because of status within the community, or because the money they use as a get out of jail free card!
It is about time that the ding dong was caught, but he was not in this alone. I am sure that many other well known people within the community knew what was going on or were part of the circle. this will never be known because people like this have no devotion to anybody but themselves.
My heart goes out to the children that will suffer because of the choices made by a self absorbed father.
I agree with Ares. if stolen equipment was taken from Murphy he should be held responsible for the stolen equipment he was releasing to ding dong. But reality is they will probably have enough green get out of jail free cards to find a loop hole in the system. then bingo back into society they go as if nothing ever transpired.

Money and status talk. Believe me when I tell you that instead of minorities occupying our jails, these privileged "whites" minuse their money would be there right along with them.

Buying their way out is nothing new to a community's "elite."

(BTW, my experience after meeting Murphy was that he's arrogant, self-impressed, presumptuous with a feeling of entitlement, which all encourage him to cross boundaries.)

Guilty of what? Being arrogant, self-absorbed, with feelings of entitlement?
