It's a shame what people can get away because of people you know! Maybe this time justice will be served. Our prayers go out to the victim.

Generally when people respond in this forum they no nothing of the merits of the case. If Citizen Joe knew anything at all, this isn't a case of Mama cutting the cord. Mama is a witness. As far as prayers to the victim, I am sure those prayers are for her not be a sick demented liar.

"Blackburn allegedly brought the victim to Heath's house after forcing her into his car, where Heath was present when Blackburn beat and choked the victim until she nearly passed out, according to court records."

So is mom scared of her son? The victim was held captive for a week. The mother should have told the authorities.

I see your point but you are missing mine. The mother probably would have called the authorities if what the victim said happened. If you go back to other articles, the victim also said she was raped by a sawed off baseball bat, then she takes her boyfriend to her parents house. This is about a meth addict who doesn't know the forest from the trees.

ok mama is a witness...so she should have alerted someone. come on, you know you will be asked questions later.

the victim is a meth head...i see. But the mother should have notified someone. at least call 911 and say "I think you should send a cop to this residence because something is wrong"

You know, Say Somthing.

Are you transplanted to Arkansas from Farmington or somewhere else in this area?

Hey Top Notch, my comment was in regards to the quote in the paper by the mother calling her 40 year old son a 'young man'. Of course I don't know (not no) all the facts in the case. If this mother really sees her 40 year old son as a young man I would think she needs to let him grow up

WOW!!!!
Guilty until proven innocent... thought it was suppose to be the other way around....
There are 4 sides to every story..
1)Her story
2)His story
3)Everyone else's story
4)The good ol' truth which no one even seems to know or can tell anymore.....
I have a feeling there is more to this story and I am sure both parties involved are far from innocent from anything... My opinion of the so called "victim" is no "victim" at all but merely a person who cries wolf or "rape" and if she is a meth addict then a story like hers is it really believable? Raped with a baseball bat come on really held against will.... Don't be a victim....
Just my thought my opinion....
Sure I will have alot of negative comments towards this post...
But while someone is pointing fingers look down you have 3 pointing right back at you....

It says that she had other charges against him back in 2008 also. My feelings are! You hit me once shame on you! You hit me twice shame on me! IF this happend she should have got out back in 2008 instead of staying with him and letting it happen again.

Again, I totally agree but what if nothing was wrong. You are assuming that something was wrong. There is something way out of whack. The newspaper is only reporting one side, the alleged victim's side. There is way more to this story than anyone of us knows, for one thing, the mother would have been arrested a long time ago if they really thought she was present when the alleged victim was choked and beaten.

If you go to the NM Courts, she just violated probation and allegedly tested positive for meth.

Just a question for you? When is a person old? She didn't say "my baby" or "my son."

When you haven't lived it then you have no idea what women will do to protect those they love. Not every word spoken by a former judge is always true. Open your eyes people, the mother is going to try to protect her son no matter right or wrong. The victim is not the one on trial . What about the 2005 charges that were dropped? There was a different victim involved.

no matter if she is a meth head or not, NO ONE deserves to be kidnapped, beat, or raped with anything. This man is a monster (ask his mom she is writing a book on him and his meth).

For Totah and Madd Hatter: You are so right that no one deserves to be kidnapped, beat, or raped...hmm, no conviction and after looking him up, he was acquitted by a jury in 2007 in a case. You have no facts. I called the mom just to see if she was writing a book. Said it was coming out in a month about "horrors perpetrated by users on themselves and others to maintain the habit." It isn't about her son and "his" meth, but you have some inside bird of a feather info you would like to share? I think this is a straight up lady, and is going to tell the truth irregardless.
