It's not easy with all you koolaid drinkers living in a world of fantasy. When you come to an understanding, and we hope you will before the green drink kills you, you'll see that our life isnt easy.

Our question is how can you not see the real world?

I'm one of those people who make the drive to lebanon or lafayette to go to Kroger. I love My Main street market and IGA, but Having Kroger in town would be an asset to the community.

I drive to Kroger, to take advantage of their great sale prices.

But, I still buy ALL of my Meat from either Main Street Market or IGA!!

You get a Kroger card and get some nice discounts on gasoline too.

Competition keeps everyone honest in the business world when it comes to pricing. Now if we could only get everyone to pay there state and employee taxes, then it would be even better.

If it was going to be a Kroger, that would be fine but it is not. It is owned by Kroger but not the same. I can't remember the actual name. But it will not be a Kroger like Lebanon has... That is a fact..

My understanding is it is like a small Krogers. Has the essentials that one needs to survive. Not a big store like Main St or Schultzs.
Again, anything to add employment numbers whether it's fulltime or part-time, should be welcomed with open arms in a community like ours.

It always seems that when a good thing is going to happen to Frankfort it gets shot down for personal reasons. This town has been in a stagnet pool for over 20 years .when I drive through crawfordsville, Tipton, Elwood and other sorounding towns it makes sick to see how these towns have grown. People keep putting Gina on a pedestal , more business has closed than open in this town. Personal gain is all that has ever came gout of her term. Shan has no personal gain for himself and wants this town grow . His comments in the paper our for the people. Commissioners quit worrying about yourself and think about the people who voted for you!

The commissioners have nothing to do with this! This is all about the city council and what they want. Gina Sheets hasn't been part of the landscape here in a few years...think you better study up on who are the elected officials and what their jobs are!

I agree that this Kroger is not going to be like those of Kokomo and Lebanon. However, it's geared towards the Big Chain Whole Foods, which I believe we do not have anything in town like it. It will carry fresh produce, meat, and ALL Natural foods. I for one think Frankfort can use something like this, with more and more kids and adults becoming unhealthy due to the foods they eat, Frankfort needs an alternative to help change this. I do also feel that a certain elected feelings are playing into the decisions that are being made. Kroger is a big player and I'm sure they've dealt with small town favortism before and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a big surprise to them that this is what they are facing...

Who is the certain elected feelings you are referring to? After all, the Mayor has shot down the Scoreboard on two different attempts to move downtown and closer to downtown. I wonder if the Mayor has certain feelings as well to protect John Virtue since he was a huge supporter of McBarnes. Call them all out.. Makes you wonder..

I have no problem calling them out, Mr IGA himself. I know for a fact Kroger people know about him too!

I won't disagree that Mr. IGA should be called out as well but what I don't get is that people aren't calling out everybody. Bill Beard gets called out for his own agenda, paving his road and rightfully so. Now we have people calling out Woods for not wanting to build a Kroger and bring jobs in, again rightfully so. Then we have McBarnes not wanting to relocate a bar to the downtown area or just off the square for personal reasons. Whether its to protect Virtue or himself from where he lives its still not right. Now the Scoreboard is closing and going to lafayette and people will lose jobs. Yeah it may not be many jobs but losing any jobs in this economy is not good.

So, just what is his job growth plan? Is it his own agenda and bring what jobs to this city that he wants? I am confused as to why he would want to lose a business when he promotes job growth. Again, this is his agenda and he clearly stated the Scoreboard didn't fit into his vision of downtown. Well maybe not but they tried to locate just off of downtown. I think this is a favor for John Virtue, what else can it be. Then you have the Chamber, Shan will not share any money detail of the alive on 65. I am here to tell you, if this would have made tons of money, this would have been front page headlines in the newspaper and he would have been on WILO blowing his own horn. Again, another personal agenda to protect himself from a huge mistake. I am sure I have forgotten others.

So what the heck are we supposed to do?

The people we voted in are controlling all the media thanks to the new 100k plus public relations person. They control topix. They remove anything that is truthful.

Don't believe me? Look at all the stuff that disappeared about a certain pillar in the community who also owns a business that's way over due on their taxes.

Let's not forget the newest "trash-gate". Only picking up trash once a week, 7 bag limit, and not adjusting our rates downwards since we aren't getting the same service. Hell, the Times couldn't even get the right info in their paper. Look how much different it is than what his words were.

Then there is blocking Kroger from coming in to the old K-mart location. I bet them people behind there in the apts would love to have something close by that they can walk to.

These people, are bad news and will eventually bleed the coffers dry all for their own needs and pleasure.

Now that it's out there once again, here come the "haters" who will trash these comments and try to convince us that this is all rubbish. Then prove us wrong. But you won't so don't waste your time or ours.

Exactly who is the city's PR rep? Is it Kim Stevens who has the physical therapy place here in town?
