This right here shows that child molesters can not be rehabilitated. I for one think that anybody, be it man or women that have been proven guilty without a doubt should be taken out on the court house lawn and hanged. Only after a couple days where the community has the chance to throw rocks, spit, jab with hot sticks, poke and whatever else they could get through the cage. I know that our police department are doing the best they can do to help prevent this. Our own local sheriff department passes out fliers to let people know that a sex offender has moved in their neighborhoods. But by law that is all they can do and that is not enough. I think a known sex offender should be tagged meaning a visible tattoo on his forehead like in the mid-evil days when they would put a large A on a woman's forehead if she committed adultery. What scares me most is, these people could be our teachers, bus drivers, Walmart door greeters, our own next door neighbor. We have no way of knowing who they are!! They will never be rehabilitated, they have shown that to be a proven fact over and over again. Oh, they say they have civil rights! I say, Bull-feathers, they gave up those civil rights when they molested a child. Lets make a stand before our governments and demand that these child molesters be dealt with as what they are, and should never be released back in society without the possibility of parole

My best friend works for the Arkansas Department of Corrections. She works with sex offenders. She has told me that a new law has passed concerning sex offenders. If I remember correctly, she said that the new law states that offenders whom molest children and are convicted of the crime can be put to death. Even 1st time offenders.
I called my friend to make sure I had said this correctly. Here is what I was told. Arkansas is tring to pass a law to make sex crimes against children, punishable by death or life in prison. Some states already have this law in affect.

Well, I don't know about putting them to death, unless they know for sure of the fact. There are a lot of guys in prison right now because some kids have figured it out that if they don't get what they want... Holler molestation!!. I think if they admit to it or cought in the act they should be lifers. But sometimes it is to hard to prove. The death cases should be done case by case and not a set rule.Because it has been shown and proven these people can't be helped.

I agree. There are different classes of sex offender's (class D, class C, class Y, etc) If they are certain class, then the law will affect them. I am not sure which class they have to be in.

I was checking on a sex offender in my town, Osceola and I was shocked to see how many sex offender are registered in Flippin. The ones I was looking for haven't been listed yet for some reason and it's been over the 30 days they had to regester. If ya'll have time check and see for yourselves how many are in your town. I have relatives living in this area and it really concerns me.

Crimes committed against mostly women r not given the punishment they should. Sexual attacks r a prime example. Their repeat rate is in the 90% and still get short sentences. Even probation at times. Until this inequity is corrected all families and individuals will have to live in fear of sexual preditors. Years ago I lived where a sexual offender was allowed to live near a school. This was suppose to be illegal yet he was never removed. One night I had to call the police because i saw a man looking in my kitchen window. The man appeared to be the neighbor who was identified as the sexual preditor. I moved shortly after that occurance. On another occassion I called the police to report my next door neighbor was selling drugs and i do mean openly and the police lady told me" your neighbor is entitled to have visitors". Even the kids in the park across the street could ID the drug dealer and his suppliers. Crime is so open it makes a person think.

You have apoint about the sexual predators. i also believe the punishment should be a lot greater than it is.But here we go again the problem you have in the small towns is you dont keep to yourself. people in small towns are private people if they want you in their buisiness they will invite you. in a small town trust is an issue, if you cant be trusted or at least respect their privacy the you shouldnt be here.

More like a lonely trip, lol. Evidently all small towns aren't the same. I grew up around small towns. Neighbors do their best to be friendly and watch out for one another. That's what makes it a good place to live. It also helps to deter crime, although you can't get rid of it completely. Being a good neighbor doesn't mean you're nosey, it means you're there if your neighbor needs you, or someone to hold a friendly conversation with. I can't imagine living where people turn a blind eye to wrongs because they just want to "blend in", or no one wants to talk to you because they are confusing friendliness with being nosey. What a sad life for those who have locked themselves in their own self-made prisons.

Yellville wants all the people to have a certain mind set. If not they are ostracized. They don't
like people like me cause I can see what's going
on in their 'prisons.'

Some outsiders fit in well cause they have the
same personality type. I won't fit in cause I
see the craziness in this town. And they still
keep these outsiders on a very short leash. It's
a control thing......do it OUR way if you want to
fit in. I do my own thing. They hate that.

AH-HA! It's what they make movies out of! Plot of the story: The neighbor who would not conform! They cursed, they swore, they name-called, they threatened, but when the dust cleared, there she stood, in all her defiant glory, daring them to come knock her off the hill! LMAO YOU GO GIRL, HAHAHAHA!

I am not sure the whole story would help. It is a simple concept not to have sex with minors and not to force ones self on another person. If either concept is confusing to u then u need help. Life is hard enough without being victimized by mentally ill people. Sexual offenders simple do not get cured/rehabed. Its a sad truth but none the less a reality we as in society need to deal with. The bottom line is this: if u let them out they will attack others again and will continue until they r either locked up or die. The world is harsh but we need not to allow them further opportunities to harm others. Life in prison for the first offense and if its a minor or a death occurs then the death penalty. These sick people attack and rape the elderly and even little babies. They also infect innocent people with diseases including aides which is a death sentence.

Why isn't there a drunk driver, Bank robber, home bugler, car thief list Ect.? Most criminals will repeat their crime not just sex offenders. These people should not have there family's and the rest of there life taken away because of a mistake. It's just plain wrong to have there name address and picture made public for the whole world to see.

Are you serious? You must not have kids and if you do, you obviously could careless about them. As a mother it is your job to protect your children to the best of your ability. Sometimes a predator will get to your children no matter how hard you try to protect them but making sex offenders register and posting their address and pictures is a tool to make the public aware of the danger that could be living right next door to them.
