Hillary and Obama found it necessary to give in to a threat issued by Mexico in May. In May during a meeting of NAFTA executives, Carlos Salinas de Gotari, stated that any revision of NAFTA would substantially injure All Mexicans, whether they are in Mexico or the U.S.
Salinas went on to say that Mexico would have to support the U.S. presidential candidate(s) that support NAFTA. Within days Hillary and Obama changed their tune.
Why did Mexico take the unprecedented action to meddle in the U.S. presidential campaign? Why did Mexico deem it necessary to threaten U.S. presidential candidates?
As always - MONEY -$10 to $11 billion dollars annually. Most of it is the ill gotten gains of the violation of U.S., Mexican and International laws by the U.S. companies partaking of the NAFTA feeding frenzy. The U.S. companies have subborned Mexican politicians and officials to an extent greater than the monies earned from narcotraffickers.
Mexico is being very disingenuous when it clamors for the civil and labor rights of illegal and undocumented Mexican workers in the United States. Meanwhile, the Mexico is duplicitous with the U.S. companies in denying the civil and labor rights of legally documented Americans working for the U.S. companies in Mexico.
Likewise, Mexico needs to use a discredited ex-president to protect its corrupt feeding trough. The Mexican Supreme Court has decreed the illegal practices followed by U.S. companies in Mexico must cease. The Mexican Government has refused to enforce the Supreme Courts decrees. The Mexican Supreme Court rules on Constitutional matters. By refusing to enforce the Supreme Courts decrees, the Mexican Government has shown its preference for the U.S. companies and indifference for the people of Mexico.
