My fiance has a Dr appt with her today and I seriously doubt she will be back at the office with all this investigation going on. I'm trying to figure out what he is suppose to do if she is not there. Does anyone know what her patients are suppose to do since she's shut down for the time being? He won't get his medicine at the hospital BC they don't PX his type of medicine there. And he has to go back to work which is out of town and how is he suppose to do that? Freaking doctors. And her nurse got busted around last Fall that worked for her so this is related to that I would say.

I go to Dr. M too and have tried to get info. I called the Pharmacy up the street and they said she was shut down and they had been advising people to find another Dr. Tried the office and no answer but usually there's no answer anyway.

Anyone who knew or was a patient of Dr. Milan knows she was not a "mule." She was/is a very compassionate and understanding woman who was only trying to help her patients, which by the way, WERE NOT ALL JUNKIES. I'm sure there are plenty of patients and their family members who do not appreciate being labeled that. I'm very happy for you that you have apparently never had anything wrong with you to where u need pain medicine and I truly hope you never do but until then, God forbid, please do not be on here making judgements or assumptions about people or things that you couldn't possibly understand. I'm writing this not only for you but for any and everyone else who thinks this way. Just remember you never know what someone's whole story is but you can pretty much guarantee that theres two sides to it.

Stoned or sober. Bout time they start nailing these docs and their nurses for pushing drugs!!! I hope they go after more. If your "family members" need meds there is a place called an emergency room, there are several other docs and there is rehab. Pick one and go. No one on this site can help you. Geesh!!!

Is it true that this doc is a subutex (sp?) prescriber? I googled and health grades said she was a pediatrician. I think it's a good thing that these docs are getting busted. I am just wondering when the junky clinic on 98 is going to get shut down. I have never seen so many prego's in one place as I have right before that place opens of the morning. It's kinda disgusting...

Yeah. It's REAL smart going after doctors who keep you alive. As an insider on this issue, there's not one doctor I'm aware of who doesn't have a reputation for being a pill pusher. Some of them have even pushed them into themselves.
Here we go again. SOMEHOW the notion that lots of people either need or want pain relief and will do whatever they have to do to get it is eluding you. Personally I commend every doctor who gives out lots of pills today, because it's certainly a risky maneuver. When literally patient after patient tries 16 different ways to get pain pills, you either spend your entire day saying "no" to the people whom you're trying to make feel better (and obviously pain pills make people feel better or they wouldn't want them in the first place), or you're just an @$$ who doesn't care about what your patient IS SAYING THEY WANT!
Maybe, cough, cough, cough, if there was a safe, non habit forming ALTERNATIVE to pain medication, LIKE MARIJUANA!!!! that was legal, prescription drugs wouldn't be so popular. UNTIL PEOPLE CAN GET THE PAIN RELIEF THEY WANT LEGALLY THEY WILL CONTINUE TO either get it illegally or constantly HARASS our doctors into giving them pills.
Most importantly, ONCE AGAIN we have an issue where some of you people who feel morally superior because you don't take any drugs, legal or not, want to impose your Square agenda. WHAT SOMEONE SWALLOWS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS and never will be.
Those of you who do take drugs - the only way to solve this problem of you not having enough of them is to DEMAND! your right to take whatever you want whenever you want. Publicly. DO THAT NOW!
It's so nice to know that someone gets it! Why should someone that has chronic pain have to "pick a rehab" or go to the streets or be sick when it's thru no fault of their own that they are no longer prescribed their pain medicine because the "better" part of society insists on shutting down every and any doctor who has compassion and understanding that people do not and should not have to suffer...is that not what pain medicine is for? To allow people who suffer with chronic pain to have some quality of life? Trust me if there was an alternative & people could just excercise or take motrin & that would be good enuff don't you think they would? Don't you think they have tried that? Do you really think that people enjoy going to dr. after dr. and hearing no after no and being treated like a junky or a pill seeker & feeling like noone out there understands you? I mean come on people open your minds a little. And going to the emergency room does nothing. They are there to treat acute pain and these days you pretty much have to be bleeding with a gunshot wound. What happened to the Intractable Pain Law? If it can't be cut out or cured then doctors are not supposed to have to fear everytime they write a pain med script. If people only realized that chronic pain patients are not trying to get "high" when you are truly in pain and you take your medication as prescribed you don't get "high" yeah your always gonna have people who take something good and use it for bad. Your always gonna have someone who abuses their meds or sells them or whatever else but how can you hold everyone accountable for a few peoples actions or mistakes?? Why should people have to suffer when there is something out there to help them??

Dear Concerned,
That was a great response until you went after the people who want to get high.
Getting high is EMOTIONAL pain relief. Its fun for those who have no other fun. Its relaxation for those who have no other relaxation.
You should ally yourself with them, not create a line dividing physical and emotional pain. Its that very line which causes the doctors to be targeted.
Getting high is not bad! Its good. We all seek to be high. Whether its sex. Or food. Or shopping. Or simply the feeling of watching a sunset. Those are all feel goods. Those are all highs. And if taking a drug makes someone Feel Good, LET THEM!! Jeez.
I didn't mean for it to seem as tho I was going after people who get high. I couldn't agree more about the fact of our bodies being our bodies and it's noones business what we choose to put in them no matter the reasons. I just wanted to stress the point of the total unfairness to chronic pain sufferers & their right to have a good quality of life. It sucks to feel physically unable to get outta bed or work a job or do "normal" day to day activities. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Well maybe just one day of it on the people who feel it's their right to judge something that they couldn't possibly understand. We definately do all need to come together some how or it's only gonna get worse.

My wife has been in bed for over 2 years with pain so bad she just wants to die.Because the doctors are so afraid of going to jail she is unable to get pain medication to help her.We have been told by some Dr. they have stop giving pain medication for fear of going to jail. Its sad to watch your wife dying with pain in front of you and their is nothing you can do. I think of buying the drugs from the streets and stop goings to the doctors.I wish for all who bad mouth us and the Doctors that you end up with pain so bad you will suffer for the rest of your Life also.Severe Chronic suffer.

Dude, just buy the drugs on the street. It's not like thousands of people aren't doing this today without fear of arrest. God forbid you were ever caught, you could win a jury trial simply by telling the story.
I was wrong by saying i should just buy the drugs off the streets, that was out of anger. That is what caused the problem in the first place. If all the people would not abuse the medication then the ones who need them might be able to get them.I do not blame the Doctors, 99% are doing their job and the Doctors pay the price for the bad apples out their abusing the medication. Go after the real drug dealers not a Doctor that gave her life helping others.
