I for one am not impressed at all with the new aid's. So those high priced vanceburg one's are not at all worth their much bigger pay that they have bragged about.
I have also wondered where they recieved their training because they need a refresher course.
Dang thats a burn for the freshes that now work there. lol.. i know some really good workers there. I agree on the one that said that Sandeana Moran needs to come back. And for another "FACT" they need to appreciate the ones that have stayed there and worked there for a really long time. I also think that they deserve a hell of a good raise. i love you girls, keep up the good job! Oh and as for good workers Wanda Hunt is one hell of an Aide that they take for granted. So step back and take a good look at the good and the bad workers there.

I came there because I knew the Director as an excellent nurse who would not tolerate bullcrap, and would make patient care the top priority. And she is not from No. Ky, but from Maysville #1. I have found the same level of support for top patient care and employee satisfaction from the Administrator as well, who has been on the floor helping us as well. The patients are happier than ever, well cared for and thrilled with the very proficient nurses meeting their needs. Never met the owner, but think he has 2 of the most capable people I have ever met in charge. Morale is up, and obviously there are a few aides who need further education on HIPPA and running their cowardly mouths on here leaking employee names. I am reporting this to this website, and asking for a copy of the isp address where the cowards can be identified and punished for violating the privacy of the patients there. no, I am not the boss, but hope they weed out ionu and a couple more second shift loud mouths leaking out there names and patient info. That is grounds for libel, firing and abuse...And the DON and Administrator are too busy doing there jobs and have too much class to roll in the mud with you have nots!!

Well..I think the "new nursing director" needs to just go back to where she came from! Who is she to think that she can come into that facility and try to TOTALLY take over. The residents need stability and by "cleaning house" she is TOTALLY confusing them! I have heard through the grapevine that she kinda likes to stir up trouble where ever she goes....send her back to Mason county!!
again lack of knowledge on your part there go home, though you did get 1 part right, she is from Mason County. She was asked to come here because of her experience and had the same job in Northern Ky for years. she is a real asset to PTNH. So she has not made trouble whever she was, unless you call beating out Fleming county haters like you who wanted her job, and are pouting aboout it! Stick to the grapevine, sounds like that is your only source of education, or go get your GED!!

This is my opininion and mine alone, i feel they need to go in there clean house of the dirty theiving Aids stealing from the poor old patients, old people are still human being and they like their things, i know for a fact this is true my mother said an Aid comes in searches through her things and steals her clothes, brand new things like sock , underwear, etc.and when it was brung to the Nurses attention along with a few aids that was on duty they all mentioned this one womans name but yet nothing and i mean nothing has ben done, oh others patients have complianed to about their rooms being searched and thing stolen but yet no one seems to care. I guess they think oh what the hell they won't know i stole it. but let me tell you my mother and many more out there are of sound mind and they know. it takes a very low down dirty common Person to steal from the elderly..if ask they would probably give it to you you don't have to steal it..OH by the way one of these theives is working night shift.

HIPAA has nothing to do with the employees that work there...it has to do with protecting patient health information. If you really knew about HIPAA, you would have spelled it correctly.

It is usually common knowledge in Fleming County as to who works at Pioneer Trace. As far as I know the employees don't have to wear bags over their heads and they all are required to wear name tags. Though I could understand why some of them would want to go unindentified.

They need to have their names on their cloths before they go to laundry. Maybe the familys need to check there. Peri spray, deoderant, tooth paste and etc. are kept in the bed side dressing drawer, that are used to care for the residents.

I have one thing to say to all you people who bitch and complain about nursing home staff. Take your elderly home!!!!! Take care of them yourself, or shut the hell up! We work our asses off and do the best we can do for these old people. You apparently feel guilty for putting your elderly in the nursing home or you would not be bitching about everything. You make me sick. Hipocrits!! Walk in our shoes!!!

Its an unfortunate situation, however that most people simply cannot take care of their elderly loved ones at home. However, I can assure you, that no matter how many times I've been irritated with family members or had a "bad day", I never would dare come on a public website and "show my ass" by cursing and telling the people who have entrusted their loved ones care to me....the things you have. I am a nurse. I was a CNA before that for YEARS. I have been there, and done everything....in PTNH, FCH and other places...Yes, it sometimes sucks to be short-staffed, and yes it sucks to feel underappreciated...but dang it, we are not puppies waiting for a treat. Your treat is your paycheck. If you piss off the people who put their family members in your facility, then they pull them out, the facility cuts back on staff, and this WILL eventually include you. Topix is horrendous for starting crap. Please don't give yourself a bad name, or risk your job ( if your administrator attempts to pursue looking at IP addresses)...by being aggressive and disrespectful to the families.

Yet your mom is still there. You make that choice. No one else. Make a complaint to the ombudsman...the number is in the entrance to the front lobby.

As far as stupidity goes...you take the cake. As far as being a new nurse goes...not for at least a decade...and as far as scaring you, ma'am...that wasn't my intention. My intention is to make you realize how ignorantly you are portraying yourself on this website. You are right that nurses are very poorly paid for the jobs they perform, I am glad to see you agree with me on that one! But then again, not all of us are in it for the money....

You sound sooo hateful...There is nothing wrong with change...I can well imagine the staff that has been their forever as you all put it, has not been back to nursing school and I can bet they are not up on the newest procedures that may save your l;oved ones life.. It's just grumpy b*tchy people like you who cant handel the change... Try thinking outside your lil box ...
You are an idiot!!!!!!!!!! Nursing school only teaches the basics of nursing. I have been a nurse for 15 years, and I can guarantee that nurses that graduate now are not taught any new life saving techniques. Do you want a brand new nurse who is really just learning what they are doing or do you want a nurse who already knows what they are doing?

I am thrilled that someone finally came in and made the fat, lazy nurses get off their azz and do there job! I am proud to work there and there are more Registered Nurses that really do know how to care for sick people.
and there are a bunch of aides I work with who came here because of our new DON, and she makes everyone do there jobs and cares about the patients. sounds like Morehead girl is one of the unhappy ones that didnt get her way, and I am glad they are gone. the nusrses here now do there work and help us and they are very friendly and smart. Come on over if you want to see for yourself, stop hiding out, and she is also not from Mason Co, she is from Northern Ky with lots of experience too, so whoever says they know her is just jealous. Proud of my work and coworkers!!!
Are you serious???? Some of the new nurses are smart a**es and they are just as lazy as the old ones we had....
