U.S. Army Extends Iraq Duty for 4,000

In a new sign of mounting strain from the war in Iraq, the Army has extended the combat tours of about 4,000 soldiers who would otherwise be returning home, defense officials said Monday.

These young fanatic Muslims were taught to hate the world and were brainwashed to destroy it, so that new Islamic controlled world will be built on its ruins. This suicide bombers believe that they should die and leave this world as soon as they can become martyrs, in order to go to a different Islamic world where they will get 72 virgins…How sick and pathetic is that…?

These deployments are getting out of hand for soldiers and their families. If this trend continues for 10 years at this rate a soldier can expect to spend 5 years in Iraq or Afghanistan. How long will this continue? The 12 months spent between deployments are filled with many military schools and new training exercises that keep soldiers away from families weeks at a time. The average soldier can expect to spend at least 25% of the 12 months at their home station doing training that requires soldiers being away from family 24/7 for weeks. Is 2 years for down time to difficult for the government to do? Then maybe it is time to figure out what we are doing, and how to resolve the issues. We are tired of hearing excuses about why, and who and where. Anyone wonder why recruitment is down?

Everyone needs to be told they are doing a great job now and then. We should all give them a pat on the back.
