To be clear, I posted this over a year ago. Last year, the league charged a $60 fee for helmets then $30 of that fee was refunded when the helmets were turned in at the end of the year. This year, the league went back to $25 sign up fees and did not charge a helmet fee.

Is there some reason why there can't be changes made?
There is a perfectly good reason to NOT change this, we don't need to. Why rush to play games, historically, August weather is in 90's. Why start before school and subject players to this when we can wait a little and let them play in September and October when it is 70? And as far as playing both, they are kids and do not need to play 20 games of football. They should be limited to 10-12 games just like High school and college is.

Yeah, how strange. However, I had to pay $120 for my two middle school aged children to have helmets last year. I stood in line with a lot of other parents to get my $30/helmet refund. I have said before I never had to pay that fee before and I didn't have to pay it this year. But I did pay last year with a lot of other people- you can confirm this with Richie. As I stated before my issue was last season.

I think Russell has an outstanding football program starting with JFL!! Bernard Williams was always such a big help to the kids back in the day! Rest In Peace Bernard and thank you!! Russell needs another Bernard!! He helped set each player up in a uniform even ones on other teams besides his own!

Our fee was only $25, whoever said the fees were $300, was either robbed, or is just trying to start crap.
I couldn't afford new equipment this year, but our team had an equipment swap and the only thing i have left to buy are padded pants.
If you let the coaches or board members know you are in need, the will help come up with a solution.
And yes- one coach is an idiot an needs either trained or kicked out- from what i can see so far, he doesn't know how to teach kids, only how to humiliate them when the make a mistake. I don't know his name, but he older, short and has white pony tailed hair
who is the guy with the pony tail are you talking about? which team is it and have you reported him? is he a head coach? shouldnt be humiliating any kids.

years ago the league would assist kids when I coached the cowboys and broncos I always asked for equipment too small or not needed and made sure all kids were provided. The damn league when I was in it wasn't profit minded we cared for the kids this high fee is a way for coaches get the athletes they want too he'll with other kids it is not only teaching winning but also how to play the game no matter the score all the kids are winners Russell shame on you guys get your shit together and remember who it is for

I coached years ago and I always made sure my kids got equipment it was back in the days of L G Mullens and Bernard williams guys who cared about the league and winning was important but providing the right fundamentals and being a real feeder system was just as important it always made me feel good that my boys contributed to the high school team some time coaches lost what it is all about and as far as the fee for playing we made sure every child got to play no matter
