Five Houston children died Saturday after their sedan slid into a rain-swollen ditch when the driver lost control while trying to answer a cell phone, authorities said.

For anyone throwing stones at this guy, the mans children are all dead... it would not hurt you to have some compassion. After all, YOU have never answered a cell phone while driving?

News reports this morning say he's been charged with manslaughter.

If there were three adults and five children in a car, you can bet most of them weren't in restraints. Not that it matters; the adults bailed, leaving the kids to die.

Well I own a cell phone but I dont own a car- and I dont want one. So I guess neither of us have to worry about this scenario. I see people answer cell phones in cars every single day- and I daresay its the cars that are the real danger, not the cell phones. People get killed in cars all the time even when someone isnt answering a phone.

This is a tragedy though, no matter how you look at it.
