There are 3 comments on the story from May 16, 2008, titled Gallery Guild of Henderson County CONNECTS with TYRRELL ARTs community . In it, reports that:

We are a group of passionate arty type folks-- all devoted to the ART of living and making a living from ART.

I have linked our Gallery Guild to your Columbia Town on our new website. I love it! That's how I found you...
May 2008, we decided to "take our show on the road" and form an alliance of like-minded gallery owners in order to better serve our art community. The Gallery Guild of Henderson County was created. Located in the heART of gorgeous Western North Carolina and surrounded by ancient mountains-- we have always been a true "ART DESTINATION." We are also close to other top art destinations: From Historic Downtown Hendersonville to: The Gallery Guild of Henderson County Art Destinations in the Heart of Western North Carolina -- Columbia, NC has grown into an artistic gateway into the majestic North Carolina Outer Banks area.

I really like this idea of artists and gallery owners connecting and helping one another.
Networking has always been where it is at with business-- and why not art?

Thank you very much for the compliments on our website, Miss Connie. We sure will do that and visit Henderson County and please come and visit us, especially in September when we have the BIG Pocosin Arts festival in Columbia.

In regards to our Columbia NC art community, we have, like you folks in Henderson County, the most creative people living and working their trade - right here in Tyrrell County. Miss Feather Philipps, she is the every amazing, inspiring force behind Pocosin Arts )- besides all our wonderful artists, who really should be recognized, nationally and then some. Then there is Tom 'Killian'- he is a retired Christian Minister and truly gifted artist, who choose 'IBX Arts' Inner Banks Arts as platform to introduce us all to each other and the rest of the world ;) Both are Tyrrell County residents - highly talented Artists of the Scuppernong.

We, my daughter-in-law Neli and I, are the publisher of the Scuppernong Gazette and the Swan Quarterly - both colorful print and online magazines - and we are featuring one of our own local artist in every issue. We are intending to feature one artist of the broader IBX arts community.

Your truly, Ingrid Lemme

Thank you Miss Ingrid-

I intend to visit in September as the Pocosin Arts festival sounds like an inspiring time in Columbia!
Thanks to Tom 'Killian'--IBXArts-- as that is how I connected to Columbia.
He may be interested to know that a wonderful Christian artist joined my gallery just today!
G. Carol Bomer of Asheville -Carol has had her paintings on the front covers of several national magazines. For a small gallery like mine-- this is a blessing indeed!

I contacted all the galleries of the Gallery Guild of Henderson County, WNC to let them know of our connection and your hospitality.

Warm Regards-
