I don't think anyone cares about the real issues. Sound bites, ugly rumors and scandals are much more interesting than actually discussing issues that impact my family on a daily basis.

If he was smart he would think before saying things that can be used against him. What has Obama done that makes him your choice for president?

I agree, stick to the issues and plans for the country. Listening to Obama today was good, he stuck mainly to the plans for education with only one question about the mud slinging from the other side. Better then I heard from the McCain side, heard the same speech for the fourth time from Palin and McCain and no plans involved in it for the fourth time.

<quoted text>Obama NEEDS someone to add experience, McCain already has the experience. Obama and McCain are running for Prez. What makes you think Obama will listen to Biden who has publically stated that he thinks Obama hasn't got enough experience to be Prez.
A smart president knows he can not deal with all the issues alone, a smart president will surround hims/herself with intelligent experienced people to advise him regarding any situation.

First can you now say that about McCain and if so please do explain. explain his temper and reluctance to listen in his past, please explain his reactions out of Anger.

Please explain the rationale behind Sarah Palin when repeated ask question to party assosiates wasn't she picked because of her gender . For which a dircet anser has yet to be given.

I would also call attention to the article in todays paper about the GOP shielding her from the media and why she has to be studing party politics?

Lipstick on a pig. Yes that sure is a good speech from Obama. You can wrap a old fish in a newspaper, real class. Wonder if you also heard Sen. Biden tell a paralyzed man to stand up and be recognized. These clowns are becoming more entertaining than a comedy team. The really funny part...they are not trying to be funny, they are that dense. And this is what you democrats want to run our country? These two would spend half their time apologizing for gaffs.

I've already learned--it is pointless to answer any of your qeustions--your mind is closed tighter than a steel drum encased in concrete. Must be AWESOME to be as smart as you THINK you are.

Obama was out of line and knew exactly what he was saying. The man has writers and handlers.

Obama wants to whine his way out of this one...it ain't gonna work.

Obama has skated for a long time because no one wants to be called a racist if they criticize him too much. Well, guess what, that dance is over.

First of all, he is Black and I would NEVER vote for a Black person for President until they get their freakin' chip off their shoulder!

I agree, they are sounding like a stand up comedy team that belongs on Comedy Central.

Again thank you for not only avoiding a reasonable response, or should I say being able to afford one. Did you say you were in High School or Jr. College?

Continue as you wish for it is I who do not follow blindly. You are right about one thing it is awesome to be able to think for myself.

I would vote for someone who was smart enough to ASK for answers. I agree these people have handlers, they cannot civer up things they have said because their speeches are reviewed by a slew of handlers. Up until the RNC I thought McCain wasn't saying enough about himself, especially about his wife. I think (hope) that once this dust settles and they get these jabs out of the way they will address issues. The mud slinging had been a huge turn off for me, although I am still amazed about things I didn't know about Biden - drinking and debt. Michelle's thesis and the minister's sermons really turned me off. There is alot of hate there.

I think you are absolutely right MsLyn....I'm frankly tired of the backbiting and dishonorable characteristics of BOTH candidates.

Who said he was my choice for President? I have made it clear I think all four people running are eggheads....it will not be better when 2012 rolls around....no matter who wins.

Listen I know you and I haven't seen eye to eye but for once we can with this post. I too agree to much mud slinging. I want them to focus on the issues I don't want empty campaign promise I want to know how they will go about approaching the problems and fixing them Read this then you will see what I am talking about it may amaze you that the people who did this none were in politics, None received any type of compensation. all were from various professional and non-professional backgrounds and all were from different social economic backgrounds.

Then ask your self why you haven't heard of this, when it is on the desk of every senator every governor and over 200 hundred Congressman. Including all candidates currently running, let alone the local ones here in Asheville, Mumpower and Shuler.

Phil Gray: Thank you for the website. I am printing it because I just can't sit here and read it all online. Some of my closest friends are people I can go toe to toe with in business, I guess you and I could call it the mark of maturity. I wish everyone online would understand the old adage that opinions are like azzholes....! The world would be awful boring if we only heard ourselves...

Every one of you GOP'ers took a nice GULP of air when McCain picked Palin. And the first thing in your mind was "Who the [email protected] is that?". Y'all know it was a real stupid choice. Your only argument involves comparing her to Obama. Okay, so we'll say they are even with the experience thing....... He has a law degree from HARVARD. Palin attended 4 different colleges before graduating from U. of Idaho. With a Journalism (?) degree.

Now I know all y'all will say..."college don't mean nuthin!"....But, just like that voice in your head rang the alarm about McCain's pick....you know it means a whole lot. Obama has his ducks in a row much better than Palin does. Or McCain for that matter.

Obama wouldn't even admit what race he is, he keeps saying he is African American,in reality he is a black muslin, half black and half Muslim..
if a man can,t even tell the truth about what race he is,how can anyone trust him in the white house?? he is ashamed of being Muslim and lies about it...NO LYING MUSLIMNS in the white house...DAVE

Muslim isn't a race, it's a religion. Your statement is about as bright as saying someone is half white and half Christian.
