Have fun with that, when a local Radcliff thug and his friends show up with their own "smoke poles" and decide they want yours, don't bother callin the flunkies o.k.

LoLo, I was thinking the same thing. Also remember just because there is an open carry, if a business or building has a posted no weapons allowed don't go walking in or they will call the flunkies.

Sounds like somebody couldn't make the cut so now he has to pack so everyone can see what a bads$$ he is. How exactly does this piss off the police? They will only respond if someone calls. Last I checked, which was Saturday, there wasn't any on duty cops playing soccer at Dawley park. If enough people are scared of the "man with a gun" in the park, you can still be arrested for causing a panic, and guess who gets to take your gun while your locked up? Just keep it covered up, so the hippies and Libs won't have an excuse to call 911 and make up a story bout you when the cops do get there.

Sounds like someone has anger management problems. Should he be carrying open or concealed, I have to think someone will approach him and he will get mad because they did and next thing you know he'll pull the old smoke pole. The funkies will be called and he will be arrested. . Watch when he sees this post he will start the name calling and swearing. Yup anger problems and he carries a gun.

Well now we know why you call RPD flunkies. I bet SGT Mike Holeman (Correct spelling)arrested you for something you didn't do and he was out to get you. Were you wearing someone else pants and it wasn't your pot in the pocket. Was he serving you alcohol then made you drive and arrested you for DUI. Did he hit your wife/girlfriend/baby's momma then arrested you for domestic violence. I bet your a convicted felon and not suppose to have or be in possession of a gun. Or did my anger management response hit home. I was kind of waiting to hear from you. I bet you took the old smoke pole out and shot it in the air cause I pissed you off. Since your all knowing about open carry. Please tell me what I can and can't do, where I can and can't go and how is it suppose to be carried. But knowing you you'll do the name calling. Waiting for you to respond

Okay. so you had a problem with officers from RPD back in the 80's and are still upset about it. Let go and move on. Sounds like you may have some respect for SGT Holeman, but yet you called him a flunkie. WTF. No, I don't think you have any respect for any police officer anywhere. You can remember officers from the 80"s but not one from just years ago. Maybe your short term memory is bad. get checked by a doctor. Cause you have to be in good mental health for me to have you carry open or concealed. I asked you very easy questions about open carry. You did not answer one of them. As for the Castle law
The following is from the KRS for the Castle law:
503.055 Use of defensive force regarding dwelling, residence, or occupied vehicle -- Exceptions.
(1) A person is presumed to have held a reasonable fear of imminent peril of death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another when using defensive force that is intended or likely to cause death or great bodily harm to another if:
(a) The person against whom the defensive force was used was in the process of unlawfully and forcibly entering or had unlawfully and forcibly entered a dwelling, residence, or occupied vehicle, or if that person had removed or was attempting to remove another against that person's will from the dwelling, residence, or occupied vehicle; and
(b) The person who uses defensive force knew or had reason to believe that an unlawful and forcible entry or unlawful and forcible act was occurring or had occurred.
(2) The presumption set forth in subsection (1) of this section does not apply if:
(a) The person against whom the defensive force is used has the right to be in or is a lawful resident of the dwelling, residence, or vehicle, such as an owner, lessee, or titleholder, and there is not an injunction for protection from domestic violence or a written pretrial supervision order of no contact against that person;
(b) The person sought to be removed is a child or grandchild, or is otherwise in the lawful custody or under the lawful guardianship of the person against whom the defensive force is used;
(c) The person who uses defensive force is engaged in an unlawful activity or is using the dwelling, residence, or occupied vehicle to further an unlawful activity; or
(d) The person against whom the defensive force is used is a peace officer, as defined in KRS 446.010, who enters or attempts to enter a dwelling, residence, or vehicle in the performance of his or her official duties, and the officer identified himself or herself in accordance with any applicable law or the person using force knew or reasonably should have known that the person entering or attempting to enter was a peace officer.
(3) A person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is attacked in any other place where he or she has a right to be has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground and meet force with force, including deadly force, if he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the commission of a felony involving the use of force.
(4) A person who unlawfully and by force enters or attempts to enter a person's dwelling, residence, or occupied vehicle is presumed to be doing so with the intent to commit an unlawful act involving force or violence. We were talking about you and your smoke pole open carry. So again, answer the questions I asked before. once that's done We'll talk about your old police stories.

Well I see that since you got schooled you go back to what you know best. Name calling. This topix was open carry. You were asked easy questions, but didn't answer any. I answered about Castle Law, since you brought it up. I can back up what I say and not resort to the name calling. Since you don't know anything about open carry you will have a problem with the so called flunkies, when you get stopped. So lets back to the main topix about open carry. What can Or can't I do, where can Or I can't go, how is it to be carried. Please answer or resort back what you know best. And why change topix name .

you can open carry in the commonwealth of kentucky
you can also carry with a ccw conceled in kentucky now their was a ordance in radcliff and other lil'towns that kept you from packing a firearm on city proporties now that's been changed here in the commowealth so we as the people can pack a gun for protection ......you are restricted from schools / taverns / hospitals and where sign are posted .....for open carry as for ccw if they don't see it then it's not seen and you have a valid permit all ok .....now you always like i said could open carry in kentucky but some town had silly ordances one town would let you and one would stop you and harrass you so now the krs does away with towns and townships from passing such ordances now it same state wide you can also pack at the library just incase a book attacks you but anyhoo.....that's low down on packing and yes RPD still has flunkies and dipshit's working there

I'm all for exercising rights and i like the fact that we are allowed to open carry. That being said, i don't do it.

What's the point if you have a CCDW?

Just me personally, i don't want anyone to know i'm carrying a gun. I think it draws un needed attention to myself.

Better to blend in.

How about putting some periods at the end of your sentences. You made some good points/counterpoints but it was hard to read what was said.The following did not make sense.
.....for open carry as for ccw if they don't see it then it's not seen and you have a valid permit all ok

If you don't have a CCDW license and are carrying the weapon concealed then your in violation of the law, that's why open carry is permitted, so that it can be seen.CCDW license covers you for concealment.

I have a question. Has anyone seen the signs on a business that says No Concealed Carry and also quotes a KRS number? Has anyone looked up the number? It is a trespassing ordinance. Any private business has a right to ask you to leave their premises for ANY reason (or no reason). It is their business, it is their right. But the sign implies that there is a specific law for them to make you not wear a concealed weapon in their business.

Those little signs help me decide which businesses that I will spend money in and which businesses that I will NOT spend money in.

I don't recall posting to you. I was trying to have an intelligent conversation with some real posters on a public forum. Why do you feel the need to follow me everywhere?

Still trying to recruit others to fight for you? My advice to anyone is to go to Horse Cave topix and see just how low Rex can go before you take up for him. Soon he will be bragging to you all about how he is crying to topix police to make me stop. He came after me first, he just doesn't like it when his own tactics are used against him.

Sorry Rex, if these people don't know the true you yet...they will.
