i went to tim french yesterday and checked out a nice 2004 monte carlo ss. i wanted to test drive it but didnt really get to because the gas was really low, my ex was with me and we showed the dealer (with the keys still in the ignition) that the low gas light was on and that we didnt really get to test drive it and that it needed more gas, but that we were very interested in buying the car. we left to go to the bank to get out money for the deposit, and a little while after leaving, the dealer called and accused us of stealing the car key. we told him that we did not have it, that we left it in the ignition and never took it out. all day yesterday we received threats of law enforcement being called, and these threats continue today over something we didnt do. we told the salesman that the keys were left in the ignition. there were other salesman constantly walking around the car who couldve easily taken the key. instead of checking all the employees, the surrounding areas, and the security cameras, they choose to harass and threaten us. we were going to purchase this nice car but they just lost customers, and if they do call the police on us for something we didnt do we will sue this company. tim french doesnt know how to do business. the GM, was extremely rude on the phone. we were trying to explain to him that we DO NOT have the car key, that we left it in the car while it was still running, we showed the salesman the gas light was on, then turned the car off but left the keys in the ignition. said we were changing our story and basically called us a liar and said theyre calling the law. we are not lying. im not sure why they are harassing and threating us, when they could simply change the locks on the car. this makes no sense.

This isn't the first horror story I've heard about Tim French this week...

I hope they pull their heads out of their asses and quit screwing over potential customers.

Yea, I did have to go to the police because they would not leave me and my friend alone. They went as far as calling my friends previous employer who is also a car dealer and auto mechanic, and telling them that my friend stole a car key! So now my friend may have trouble getting future auto jobs. We drove by the dealership while running errands the other day and the car was moved, so they must have the key, but we have received no apology. Im not leaving this alone until we do. They at least owe us that much. Its ridiculous i go to buy a car and end up at the police station because the dealership is harassing and threatening me and my friend....

We went into Tim French in January looking to buy a bigger car. Will the sales manager ran our credit and advised us to pay down some credit card debt and then try again in a few months. Errond our salesman called us and checked on us and told us he was patiently waiting for us to buy a car. We decided this week to go ahead and try again my husband was at work so I went by myself. Which I felt totally comfortable doing most times I don't go to a dealership without my husband because I feel like there trying to get over on me because I am a girl. Arrond rode to the bank with me and we got approved at an amazing interest rate!! We went back to the dealership and they didn't BS me at all gave me a great price on my trade and got me in an awesome Ford Flex at an awesome price! We took a friend in there today because we knew they would be honest and try and get him the best deal. I would highly recommend this dealership and will always shop at Tim French I cannot praise Arrond and Will enough Thank you guys again!!!!!

my husband and I bought a car from here last year. my husband isn't particularly car savvy (neither am I, but I at least know more than him.) my husband picked out a 2009 chevy aveo--wouldn't have been my first choice, but my husband wanted something newer so he went with it. the warranty just expired about 2 months ago and now the transmission is out. so basically the car is useless to us unless we can come up with upwards of 1800 dollars for transmission work.(let me just check my couch cushions). so now we're stuck with this shitty car and will need to continue making payments of 230/month for the next few years. even though the car is useless to us now. oh and that on top of keeping insurance on it? Never again will we work with a dealer. They also REQUIRE you to switch banks if you work with them, and Navy Federal has NO atms anywhere and they refund you up to 10 dollars in atm fees. Not worth it.

What do you expect when the owner is a huge lard ass and is stupid enough to show up in his own TV ads? He doesn't have any pride or he wouldn't be such a fat-assed slob.

Sooo.... how is it the dealerships fault that your warrany expired and the transmission crapped out. You didn't have the car checked out by your mechanic before purchase...ask for a Carfax report...check for problems before the warranty expired?? I hope you learned from your mistakes. When one purchases a used car...it is a game of roulette.

My sister in law bought a jeep at Tim French, a day later it broke down, they replaced it with another one, a week later it also broke down, after putting in alot of complaints and emails, they did repair it free of charge, only because the contract had wrong date, wrong mileage and no as is claus, she is disabled and I believe taken advantage of, but I was not going to let it happen

Carfax has cut these scum bags off. Also, many banks no longer will finance their junk because they lie on credit apps in order to move the junk off the lot. This is best described as a buy at your own risk lot. BEWARE!!!

My sister in law bought a jeep, broke down next day they gave her a jeep liberty in its place, and it had broke down twice beside Dixie hwy,she is disabled, and walks with a cane, they repaired it,the 1st after many complaints, and then keeping it a month, this time it broke oct 31,picked it up Nov 2,with my understanding to trade it in for a another reliable vehicle, but instead it was delivered back to her,no explaination, just the key handed to her,and the general manager won't talk or answer emails, someone is going to get hurt or killed in that jeep, and they don't care, and to top that the mileage on contract is wrong, because it had too many miles to be financed,so the contract is fraudulent, wow, hard to believe

My sister I'm law bought a jeep from Tim French,it broke after the 1st day, the gave her another one,it's been broke more than driven, the 1st time they kept her jeep over a month when they fixed it,a few months later, again broke, this, I thought I arranged for her to trade it in,but the delivered back to her,no explanation, when she got into the jeep, someone had broke her driver's seat, and she fell out, luckily she wasn't hurt, but no one at Tim French will answer our calls or call back, their ignoring us,my sister in law is disabled and needs the use of a cane to walk
