Springboro Teachers at meeting

What's the difference between the tactics of the Springboro teachers union and Teamsters led by Jimmy Hoffa or Union Longshoremen, etc.? Not much in my opinion. They acted like the student section(Blue Crew) at basketball game during the board meeting last night. I didn't realize a professional meeting was a place for applause, booing and interruptions as if yelling at a ref.
I am not talking about all Springboro Teachers. Just the ones acting unproffesional at the meeting. If teachers have a problem with anyone it should be the voters. The BOE is doing the job the voters demanded.

The Blue Crew is awesome, just like our teachers!!!!!
#3 Jan 12, 2013
blue crew and most teachers are union thugs, led by babb.

We are going to win back Boro!!! B O R O

We have a wanna be board who demands respect instead of earning it. EVERYONE SHOULD ASK FOR THE TAPES OF TGE MEETING AFTER THE MAJORITY LEFT AND WATCH. The inappropriate chastising and whining by David Petroni and Wendy Kull was quite sad. Yell at the audience Mr Petroni, you have my respect. Nothing but an adult temper tantrum! And Wendy, resign and go back to parenting...

THE BOE IS NOT DOING THE JOB OF THE PEOPLE! THEY ARE SERVING THEIR OWN SELF MOTIVATED PERSONAL POLITICAL AGENDAS.
Lets add a couple more agenda items onto board docs. How about...World Peace...Iran Nuclear Talks...and Animal Rights...bring on CNN Mr Rigano. Maybe Green Peace can come camp out at the High School...remember its all about keeping kids safe?? Is our BOE members even considering safety of our children with all the politically motivated topics??

"instead of earning it"....? WOW....I guess keeping taxes down and still having a good school system isn't enough for you. It's good enough for me...keep up the good work petroni, rigano, and kohls..Babb, Carlisle and the rest of you school nazis have nothing but my complete disdain.

I want to applaud the Springboro Teachers for their reserve in handling the board meeting with the maturity and levelheadedness of adults that they are.
WORTH REPEATING...CALL THE BOE OFFICE AND OBTAIN A COPY OF THE TAPE OF THE 2ND HALF OF THE MEETING.
The tantrum by Mr Petroni was quite entertaining and his mass appeal for WHY DIES NO ONE LIKE ME? Mrs Kull received a whiner runner up award. Mr Rigano gave everyone his home phone number. And Kelly Kohls talked forever about the grants her kids have received.
BRAVO FOLKS BRAVO! Springboro has officially elevated itself to JOKE status!
Signed, Springboro Parents

FIND A NEW ARGUMENT... This old and BORING!

I'm a Springboro parent who attended this past Thursday's school board meeting. I don't recall a whole lot of maturity nor levelheadedness coming from the teachers section of the auditorium. This feeling of disgust toward the teachers overall disgusting behavior was shared by most parents sitting around us near the back of the room.

argument....ya mean like saving tax dollars ? you a liberal ?
#12 Jan 12, 2013
Amazing. Same old song and dance??? Next gonna ask about socialist tendencies?
$15000 is saving tax dollars...
Kinda sounds like self serving interests if you ask me...?

Ask yourself, why all the news media? Who was behind that? Who is making all the media announcements? Who was on WLW radio all day talking about Springboro Schools and guns...?
Answer: Mr Jim Rigano
Thanks Mr Rigano!!!! Applause Applause
I'm sure somewhere there is a sicko with the word Springboro in his brain now.
Lets keep advertising, but I forgot...children First.

That's funny I am a Springboro parent and everyone in my section, including myself was there to support our wonderful teachers. Are you sure we were at the same meeting?
#15 Jan 12, 2013
No disrespect to your inside thoughts that you express
(however distorted and so sad for you);
but I was there in the high school auditorium with family and friends throughout the meeting, right up to the adjourn time;
and I saw nothing of any disrespect to others from neither Mr. Petroni nor Mrs. Kull.
Contrary to your opinion that Wendy Kull resign, it is my opinion that union activist board member Don Miller resign. No matter which meeting, my view of Don Miller never changes, he is always the stus quo bully in chief on board.

Here we go, I have got the same type of person that closes their eyes and spouts the same boring quotes over and over. Either A, you were not at the meeting and are without a clue or B, are clueless because just like the board refuse to listen and open up you mind to ideas FROM THE COMMUNITY AND PROFESSIONALS. The FOOL FOLLOWS fools over the cliff, the smart one asks questions and avoids the danger.
We see the side you fall on...
AGAIN...EVERYONE WHO LEFT EARLY SHOULD GET THE TAPE AND LISTEN TO THE LAST HALF OF THE MEETING...
It makes for sad but laughable moments.
Oh, by the way...if you play it backwards Mr Petroni still goes without friends and Mr Riganos news conferences are still damaging to our school district!
#17 Jan 12, 2013
...and to answer resignations? I did not say anything about I personally wanted anyone to resign... Ms Kull quoted her mother quite passionately that the hours and work and thankless mess and her children should be considered? If she tells us this in public, then resign...better your situation. Not appropriate to whine at a board meeting.
As for Don Miller, I think he is not going to run again and that is his choice. But, he has gained my respect as a open minded and cautious thinker.
Now, Mr Petroni, he'll leave soon and no one can help the damage HE'S done to his own reputation. In a way I feel very sorry for his personal unhappiness.
See, you can be straight forward but positive on this blog.

Excuse Me... Please stop encouraging these schoolyard bullies to go after the voters! that's one skill in which our schoolyard bullies never neglect their development. If disgruntled school employees are unhappy with themselves working for our community members, then please, consider your options and opportunities to exercise your Right to Work elsewhere.
If our school staff is as great as these union activists rally them to be, then there should be great demands from other communities offering employment of such greatness.

I think the majority of our teachers ENJOY working for our district. It's the board that is trying to move away from imporving our school and towards politically motivated agendas. Don't speak for the teacher majority unless you have a direct inside track.
Remember, Kids First and those who are in education place kids before self.
We have GOOD teachers who CARE for our students. Quit trying to buly yourself.

its miller tyme wrote:
Regarding the ability to read, we have a board member with the initials D.M. who may have serious difficulty in attaining a 6th grade rating of proficient.
Our children's future individual achievements in education can accelerate no higher than the VISION that parents, teachers, community members, and school board representatives set forth as the mission of this school district.
While Mr. Miller focused on the wasteful spending of investing in a feasibility study that could return in benefits for our children’s future; it should be noted that money is not the only resource that we should be watchful not to waste.
What about the waste of time and unproductive service rendered to our schools and community by Springboro Board of Education representative, Don Miller?
Just as we expect a year's growth in the achievements of our children at the end of the school year; shouldn't taxpayers expect a year of growth in the leadership of our educators and elected school board representatives? Why is Don Miller starting out his 2013 year of service as BOE representative exactly the way he started out in 2012-- just voting No No No on every opportunity to show himself as a leader who puts our children's best interest priority over the politics of personal destruction undermining the children first budgeting school board members achievements for our children's future?
It is troubling to see members of our school superintendent's district parent council (including Lisa Babb and Tiffany Carlisle) led by board member Don Miller, conducting these time wasting, disgusting, collective public protests against Springboro Board of Education members, such as community members witnessed at the January 10 meeting;
because one of the school superintendent's district goals for his parents council is:
"Establish an environment of trust and transparency with community, staff, and the Springboro Board of Education."
I would ask Mr. Petrey why in the world is his chosen few union activists doing anything except wasting time and resources with their relentless apolitical agenda of dividing the Board of Education leadership and conquering for political gain of empowering the Teachers Union?
It could be that Mr. Petrey should evaluate this performance that his teaching staff and district parent council presents
to Springboro families and taxpaying homeowners;
and address this disruptive behavior being carried on throughout our community by school staff members, PTO moms, and parent council members; before he and Don Miller and Tracy Jarvis bring up getting that emergency levy on the ballot as fast as you can, regardless of the cost to taxpayers.
Don Miller was so embellished with excitement and empowerment of the bully union activists kind that he accelerated the "no tax increase Renewal Levy" to an emergency levy! Big difference, Mr. Miller. The only emergency on the 2013 school district ballot will be excusing you and your "no vision nor inspiration" lack of leadership as a board representative.
