This Yes on 3 hostile campaign of Mr. Kidd and our CCFD proves that a local government AGAINST its own citizens is the greatest danger to our families and our children's future!
The time has come on May 7 to VOTE NO,
to send a clear message to Mr. Kidd that good citizens exercising our rights to vote will not CAVE in to this emotional blackmailing of citizens, so that the CCFD employees can have MORE of our money than needed.
Financial records PROVE and are Verified by the Warren County Auditor's office that Clearcreek Township has a $12,000,000 plus Fund Cash Balance and that is Enough money to provide needed
fire/ambulance services to our citizens.
After this May 7 levy fails, our Springboro/Township citizens should call for Mr. Kidd to hold a public meeting so that this
"new level of service" can be explained.
There are many "cuts" that can easily be made that will not affect the quality of public safety services to citizens. We all need a seat at the table with Mr. Kidd providing transparency in our budget; so that the CCFD is held accountable for using our money to budget for priorities in public safety; and NOT priority of job security and increased wages and benefits for self-interest public safety employees.
Please Help Us Help You....
Stop Mr. Kidd's emotional blackmailing for MORE money than is actually needed for fire/ambulance services.
Spread the good news! No Additional Levy Is Needed At This Time!
Now is the time to go to the polls on May 7th and
JUST VOTE NO!
Clearcreek Township has a $12,000,000 plus Fund Cash Balance Status
which proves that No Additional Levy Is Needed at This Time!
So why the deceit and emotional blackmailing for dollars with threats of "harm" to citizens IF they don't CAVE in to the chief's greedy demands for MORE?

Enough Is Enough!

VOTE NO ON MAY 7th!

Sounds like a typical dirty politician or used car salesman looking out for no one but himself. I also heard from a friend that either this guy or some of his cronies have apparently been putting the "citizens for responsible spending" propaganda Vote No flyers in the mail boxes of some of our fellow citizens; without proper US Postage on them. Last time I checked that is against federal law. Wonder what the Postmaster would have to say about that? Or maybe he is promoting free postage too to go along with the free license plates.
No laws were broken by mail delivery to my mailbox, nor to any of my neighbors, who received the flyer WITH proper US postage on them. The flyers did stimulate good conversation among neighbors
agreeing that the Responsible Choice on Issue 3 is to go to the polls on May 7th and JUST VOTE NO!

Why would any responsbile citizen agree to Increase fire levy taxes 93%.....?

Totally Agree! The flyer in our mailbox had proper postage and good timing. It is hard to believe but many of our neighbors did not even know there was an election being held on May 7th!
One neighbor called to say... Did You Know "this $4,439,000 levy request INCREASES fire levy taxes 93%!"

Just goes to show-The More People Know-The More People Vote No!

Thank You, Mr. Chrisman, for spreading good news!

Just as I started this morning, I see that all of the "Yes-Men" have been busy spreading their propaganda all day long. They want us to believe that the only course of action is to open the taxpayer check book again to the tune of $4.5M.

That is a lot of money!! And even if they are GRANTED their wish and GIVEN the money by the grace of the taxpayers, it will NOT solve the spending problem that they have.

The fire department is undisciplined. They have spent money that they do not have and they have asked for and received bailouts from the taxpayers from our hard-earned and hard-saved reserves.

They have purchased assets that they cannot afford to maintain, large and small. From fancy sensors to an entire fire house--all of this spending now requires more and more money to maintain.

As a retired logistics expert, this is basic. Only 15% of an asset's life cycle cost is incurred at acquisition. A whopping 85% of the total cost of an asset is expended in operations and maintenance cost--not acquisition.

Folks, like it or not, the fire department fell into this age-old trap and overspent. The solution is NOT to spend more.

You have to get to the root cause of the problem if you want to have a prayer to solve it. Remember the old saying you might have heard from your parents or grandparents: You should not throw good money after bad??

Now there's a reason to Wake Up! Tomorrow! Now it's my bedtime!

VOTE NO on 3!! AND WAKE UP TOMORROW FOLKS!!!

Did You Know?
The Clearcreek Fire District employs only dual-certified firefighters and emergency medical technicians, providing the community with the most capable emergency force possible.

Quick Facts
The Clearcreek Fire District applied for and was awarded over $1.3 million in federal grants during 2012. These funds allowed for the purchase of necessary equipment without having to spend local tax dollars.

I see
more for sale signs than yes on 3 signs, is this a sign of the times. If this levy was to pass and the township top the charts of high taxes, I can hear the sucking sound of all the Business people pulling out. That will leave the burden of the highest taxed township right on the shoulders of the property owners.
It's going to be ok to just say no to more taxes Tuesday May 7th.
Just how much does a Special Election cost. I will guess about 60K. Now guess who's money they use to pay for it?

It's after 6:00 a.m. and time for your Wake Up Call!! VOTE NO ON ISSUE # 3 ON TUESDAY MAY 7!

It's only 2 days away thankfully and we can put this awful request behind us.$4.4M is a lot of money. It is a huge percentage increase IN ADDITION to what we already GIVE the fire department as taxpayers. The FD has shown no ability to be good stewards of the tax money that we already GIVE them. They purchased assets, including a third Fire Station, with the tax money that we GAVE them knowing full-well that they could not afford to operate and maintain it!!!

This kind of deceit (or stupidity about basic logistics, the 85/15 Rule) cannot be rewarded!!

We as taxpayers have already bailed out the FD TWICE by using our hard-earned and hard-saved taxed reserve money. We can't allow this to continue.

It's bad enough for the undisciplined FD to overspend and blow their budgets, but it is doubly bad then to reduce our reserve money to pay for the FD's spendthrift habits.

We cannot afford this exorbitant levy of 4.4 Million Dollars to pay for the exorbitant spending habits of the Clearcreek Township FD. IF WE DO APPROVE, fellow citizens--this is only the beginning.

As a retired logistics expert, I can tell you that the costs of the FD's overspending will continue to grow. Only 15% of an assets cost over its lifetime is incurred when you buy it. A whopping 85% of the total life cycle cost is incurred during operations and maintenance. So, if you think all of these past asset purchases, including a new Fire Station, will be sustained with this exorbitant $4.4M--you are sadly mistaken. This is just the beginning of the need for more, and more, and more money.

VOTE NO ON ISSUE #3!!!

So as a retired logistics guy you never saw prices increase over time with inflation? Perhaps we should still be paying a nickel for a gallon of gas then??

I'm not sure what you refer to as a "bail out", because the fire department has only had two levy requests in its history. One was in 2001...the other - OVER 26 years ago!!

What other government agency can say they've been that responsible with taxpayer dollars??

In two days it will be time to head to the polls to VOTE YES ON ISSUE 3!

For victims of cardiac arrest, the American Heart Association recommends that paramedics arrive on scene and provide life saving defibrillation within five minutes for the best chance of survival. Irreversible tissue damage to the heart and brain occur in six minutes. If response times increase, the chance of successful resuscitation from cardiac arrest will certainly decrease. Quick response times are priceless.

An increased response time could also allow minor fires to grow out of control. The typical house fire doubles in size every minute as it grows. The Clearcreek Fire District's current response times allow crews to bring many fires under control during their early stages. Quick response times are priceless.

The HEALTHY CHOICE is to Vote YES on 3.

Answer:
False. When performing your LCC analysis, a competent logistician calculates the inflation growth rate PRIOR to the acquisition so management has all of the decision variables. Clearly, no one in the Twp. performed this BASIC measure of due diligence.

justthefacts wrote:

Answer:

The FD has spent more than its budget 2 years in a row. The money needed to cover this unwise, wasteful spending was removed from the Twp. reserves.

justthefacts wrote:

Answer:
Are you serious??? You really are a socialist or a King-wannabe. Government exists to serve the People, not the other way around. Every public servant has a fiduciary duty to preserve and protect the people and their treasure. I cannot believe that you just made this lame statement.
