No reason at all for firefighters NOT to be ready to respond.I wonder how difficult it would be for West, TX or Boston, MA to pass a fire levy right now. Seems no one fully appreciates their first responders till something like that happens.
I want the Clearcreek / Springboro firefighters ready to respond, I'm voting yes.
There is enough money already being generated by local taxpayers to fund needed services. Taking advantage of exploiting national crisis is just another ploy of the union's emotional blackmail.
Local taxpayers know that in our cities, police and fire staffing levels are determined by natinal groups in order to drive up the number of employees needed. Why are local taxpayers forced to financially supoort big salaries/benfits for TWO assistant fire chief? Why do we have a fire captain recently hired when there are threats of closing a fire station IF the voters say NO to the May 7th tax increase? Appears we need better management of our taxpayers dollars instead of the government asking for more money.
It is time for taxpayers to say NO to this May 7th ADDITIONAL continuing levy; It is time to tell Clearcreek Township government to reform that budget and stop threatening to close that fire station and fire employees. Responsible voters will say NO to big tax increases keeping our community both SAFE and AFFORDABLE.
