In response to the earlier post about "This Has Got to Stop", I agree and say Amen to that! Please think about your country and give it some love and STAY OUT of Indian-owned convenience stores. The people who own them look down their noses at us as a culture but love taking our hard earned money. Just don't support them. Having worked for them before, I can tell you, they think we are inferior to them...so let's show them who's inferior. Really, stay the hell out of their businesses.

Buy, I totally agree with you. You and nowisthetime see it the same way I do. My question is, where are the stores located that are NOT Indian owned? Truly. I cannot think of store and I am in Fitz. and Ocilla all the time. I guess come to think of it Flash Foods maybe the only one. Who know's? By now it could be Indian owned too. I try to buy at Wal-Mart for most things. Although, I absolutely detest going to Wal-Mart. Don't realy know why but I just do. But, as for the rest of them, I can't think of another convenience store that is owned by an American. And what about the motels? I think all of those are owned by foreigners. With them is like this is their version of Monopoly. Honest to goodness, real life, owning the board. It's their own Mahwa Monopoly Except in this game the board happens to be our country.

u know americans are now the minority in our own country.mexicans have taken over the jobs, all conversations and merchandise are translated to spanish, and indians own the motels and convenience stores and are doctors.we have allowed our country to be taken away from us before long we will be part of mexico

The only gas stations left in fitzgerald that are still american owned are Foster's Shell Station off hwy 90 and Murphy USA at Walmart off the By Pass. I refuse to by gas any where else. Suprizingly enough Murphy USA is owned by the Walmart Corp and it buys most of its gas form local/domestic oils sources. :-)

Why don't you pray for your country. I know what GOD said. I am well versed in the Bible. Grow a brain and do what is right for America

Walmart does not own Murphy USA, Murphy Oil Corp. out of Eldorado, Arkansas owns all the Murphy USA's. Murphy Oil buys there lots in the Walmart parking lots. Walmart has no say so in any of Murphy's business. That is why when you get upset and complain to Walmart management they can do nothing about it except pass it own to Murphy headquarters. But yes they are 100% AMERICAN OWNED. Check out their website...www.murphyusa.com, I worked for this company for 6 years in management, and they are a wonderful company to work for.

Murphy Oil Corp. also owns several oil rigs in the gulf, and I'm thankful this disaster in the gulf is BP and not Murphy Oil. They are also located in Canada.

I AGREE with all the bitching about Indian operated convenience stores and other businesses, but just think about it. An AMERICAN company has to SELL TO INDIANS for it to become an INDIAN BUSINESS. Raise CAIN with those who would sell to these Pharisees too.

Who really lies at fault is our government. They allow this to happen. And I know this is a different situation, but,I see young lazy people that are well capable of working in someway or another getting $200-$700 a month in food stamps and paying no rent or only paying $5 a month. When my elderly parents who have worked very hard their whole lives get $20-$30 month in food stamps if they're lucky. I blame our government for this too. Our country is going to hell in a hand basket folks and it's going fast.

Pjj, I gotta agree with you. Davis, if we DIDN'T stand up and say something we would become a nonentity. We are now the minority and to not have a voice, well, we are doomed if that was so. We better get mad. Damned good and mad and do something about it. Yes, it does look pretty bleak. I mean, when I'm in a rush, sometimes I don't have time to go to Wal-Mart and I work on the south side of town, so going to Fosters for every stop can be impossible at times too. I do try to get everything I need from either when I'm there because I am left with no other option if I do not. I'm agreeing with you that a lot of the problem we have is greed but I think this stems from a lack of concern also. Most of our elected officials could care less. They aren't the ones who have to struggle like we do. They live in their gated community, probably have more illegal labor than anyone, and reap the harvest. They aren't worried about saving on gas or time because their world is a bit different. The only way to change is to have a voice. And unless they rip my tounge out and/or cut off my fingers I will have that voice. The God given voice that I was blessed to have. Amen!
