Part 3 of 3

In recent years there is an increase in the number of incidents of child molestation involving white female teachers and their minor male students (middle and high school). Just recently, I read an article about the number of cases in the state of California. In the first quarter of this year, there was state media coverage on two cases like this in Valdosta and Columbus.

Well, I am a peacemaker by nature, and I share because I do not want to see this situation get blown out of proportion. Echoing the sentiments of a number of people who posted, I want to see that the justice system does what it was established to do. Again, may the families of all parties involved find the strength and moral fortitude to allow this to be played out in the courtroom where a qualified judge, competent lawyer, and a very thorough /fair/ unbiased jury can bring closure to this situation.

Peacefully yours,

To my knowledge no one on this forum has talked about those little girls or said anything bad about them. You really need to correct your grammar. Maybe you should sit in on your "kids"english class and learn how to speak properly.
There is nothing wrong with my grammar for one and if you do not like it so what. You people kills me with trying to correct people words and probably didn't finish I have read every post on here and everything has not been nice about Rickey or the young girls but when you Blog.that's what happen. I am going to think what I want and nothing is going to change that is that proper English for you Professor An Eyewitness! So more likely your are some kin to him but what some people need to realize is other people have opinions too! in response to what "questions" posted earlier. you have no idea what was said or ask when all this took place, unless you were present, which I doubt you were. and also your comment about the white people supporting him, does that mean if I rob the bank and enough white people say I didn't do it that I get to go free and keep the money.

Also, when a Black man is accused of a crime against someone white, it is not the norm for “a lot” of white people to support the Black man. So, because there are “a lot” of whites who support Mr. Manning, there are people who think that he must not be guilty of the crime of which he is accused. The thought is that if there was an inkling of doubt that he did that, the white community would be TOTALLY outraged. Not only that, considering the nature of the accusations—child molestation, even the blacks would be outraged. No sane individual want children to be mistreated or abused in any way.
Remember, Pennywise, he is considered innocent until proven guilty. As I suggested to another person who posted on this forum, if you feel that you have some evidence, then the Prosecution must hear from you. If in fact, there are other victims, the parents of those alleged victims would be just as guilty, guilty however of neglect for failure to report suspected abusive. No fear of words or man could keep me from approaching the authorities about someone inappropriately touching child. It would be better for the child to suffer through the unkind words NOW and have the truth be revealed in a court law than to LATER have to deal with livig with “demons” from the past. These “demons” manifest themselves through drug and alcohol abuse, sexual promiscuity, a perpetuated cycle of abuse in which the abused himself/herself abuses his/her own children or someone else’s, mental/emotional breakdown, etc.
Another reason to report child molestation or any other sex crime against a child is that there may still be a statue of limitations for reporting such crimes. You may want to see if H.B. 676 (for Georgia) to see if the limitations was erased (removed). Better still, you should consult an attorney, for I am just a future law student with a thirst for knowledge—the facts. I do know that there is new information about mandated reporting.
About Pennywise’s suggestion to take a look on the internet for the profile of a pedophile, be sure to go to a reputable website. Keep in mind that pedophiles come from all walks of life: ministers, government officials, law enforcement officers, attorneys, school teachers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents, blacks, whites, males, females, etc. For CONVICTED pedophiles who were actually found guilty, one thing for sure is that when the investigations ensued, there were unreported histories of abuse that were uncovered.

The NACCP stand up for blacks on a day to day basic!

Hello, "tonia3":

It is my dream one day to be practicing law as an attorney. Notice that I said "practicing law." My own personal reason for stating it that way is because I feel that the “legal” laws are not exact like the laws of nature that have no exceptions. For example, the law of gravity basically states that what goes up will come down. However, with law, there are oftentimes amendments, and new precedents are established. What may have been true in one case may not be the same in cases that follow. Therefore, attorneys have to be very well read people to stay on top of what laws apply in the cases they work.

Hey, please do not overlook the fact that the NAACP has gone beyond just standing up for the rights of blacks (on a daily basis). They fight for the rights of ALL people regardless of the color of their skin or ethnicity.

Respectfully,
FUTURE LAW STUDENT

To "Unbelievable" and" Pennywise", I believe you missed the point of my post. Pennywise, the point was that if those of the white community thought he was guilty there is no way there would be the support speaking out for him. That said, if the roles were reversed and it was a white man accused against two black girls it be an important point to notice if the black community showed support for the accused white man. Bottomline, it is the prosecution's job to prove beyond a REASONABLE doubt Rickey's innocence.
To" Unbelievable", you are correct when you say I was not there. But neither were the parents or other children. It was just two people and that is why we are here because it is a man's word over a child's...and for any one of us, that is a very dangerous place to be when an accusation is made.

'Question''Race has no part in this case. This is not a civil case it is a criminal case. There was a case last year when hundreds of thousand people took up for a man accused of murder and he was black in Georgia! So in Georgia there are different race that will still help one another. OK you are on Rickey side that much is clear, but if you want people to respect your opinion you have to respect others opinion.

All I can say is WOW!!! It just amazes me at how ignorant some people are and the sad part is that the only piece of evidence that some of yall have is 'they said that he said that she said' which equals up to nothing but a bunch of gossip. Unless you have or have seen hardcore evidence that is pertaining to this case I personally don't think anyone should be on this forum degrading, judging, or prosecuting this young man who has not been set a trial date. Let the justice system do their job. This case is already sad and painful enough without the disrespectful comments. Some of you need to place yourself in the young man's shoes and you are probably saying I will never stoop that low, and if the truth be told you don't even know if he stooped that low you are only going by what you have heard.I am quite sure that you know or knew someone that was once upon a time fighting to prove their innocence. All I am asking is that you be mindful about the way you respond to 'juicy' gossip especially if you only know 'one side of the story' and remember there are two sides to every story.

No offense--Same thing goes for these two little girls. Unless you have seen real evidence that he has not committed a crime pertaining to the two girls, I don't think anyone should be on here degrading or judging these girls or there families. Some of you need to place yourself as one of those parents or even yet one of the scared four year old girls. Let the justice system do its job! Keep in mind most of the time a child molester is going to have the profile of being an upstanding citizen, great person. Open your eyes people! I for one respect these parents for being concerned parents like we all should be. Praying for these two little girls.

Sick-I haven't read one post on here where anyone was degrading the parents or children. I firmly stand on the saying that there are two sides to every story and obviously you only no one.
Pennywise-I would never get offended at someone for voicing their opinion because it is just that 'an opinion'.

God actually has everything to do with this and everything else. God gave humans the opportunity to live free of sin. Adam and eve ruined that by disobeying him. Now, we as humans, have to pay the price of sin in our lives. The devil also plays a part in this. He corrupts people into doing things that are evil. If you do not believe these things then you will surely burn in hell my friend. I pray that is not the case but just holding you
accountable as I want others to do me. Yes, I am a sinner and beg forgiveness daily. These actions by mr. Manning are sins in the eyes of god and also against our laws of justice. He will have to answer to both
I appreciate your concern for my well being, both now and in the afterlife. Let me put your mind at rest in that I am perfectly comfortable with me and what my beliefs are. I also will allow you to believe whatever you wish to believe and worship whoever or whatever you like. I just do not believe that we as a society can just shrug our shoulders and say, oh well if somebody did something, it is ok that we didn't do everything we could to make sure that the person, if guilty, but not tried for whatever reason, let god judge him after he dies. That is not right. Whether god does anything or not it is our duty/ responsibility to make sure that accusations are investigated to the fullest and if guilt is found the punishment must come from society. Anything short of that and we all become victims and tell the would be predators come take me, I am not going to do anything to you for your actions against me.. I guess that is why we have people like you and people like me. I will always do everything I can to see that offenders will not go unpunished while on the earth. I am and always will be a protector for those unable or unwilling to defend themselves.
